So, unless there's some ASG bonus money he's forfeiting, who the hell cares. Right? The only disadvantage is one in your and others' heads. Perception. Nothing tangible.

In a league that has a thing called 'star calls', it absolutely does tangibly matter if a player was an allstar or not.

So, in kg's world, Trae Young.... say it again... Trae Friggin Young... would receive better treatment from refs if he were to accept an injury replacement gig for the 2023 ASG.

He would be an awesome 10th man for us. Can we add him. Dude is a couple tweaks away, he’s always in game shape and ready to roll. He had it coming together a bit as a Laker last year then things seemed to have cooled off for Stan the man.

He would be one of those hidden gems in the playoffs you never know.
