Good morning everyone.  About a month ago we reached a decision to add a veteran squawker to the mod team as we've observed life keeps on moving and we mods don't collectively have the same bandwidth we did 5 or 10 years ago.  The good news is that we had an embarrassment of riches among our posters to consider.  The even better news is that he agreed to come aboard without any demands.  We just promised him the same pay and retirement package as the rest of the mods and he was good to go.  (Please no one tell him anything more on this).

I don't think I have to tell any of our long-time posters that macdaddy has been a great contributor here as a poster for a lot of years and a supporter of the site.  He is stepping in because he sees something special in our family and wants to keep what makes the Squawk worthwhile and help bring it forward to bigger and better things.  As was the case with all of us when we stepped in, he will learning this on the fly so please have some patience and be on your best behavior as he steps into this new role.  We're thrilled he agreed to take this step and excited to work with him to keep this place rolling into the future.

Probably myself.   I did wonder if ahf and lethal had seen some of my posts.  Now i have to do better.  oh no!

Ok I have a lil story here it’s all about luck, pure and simple luck.. I’ll make it quick.

There was a handsome squawker who won an avatar bet from another fellow squawker. The handsome squawker ended up being “a nice guy” and giving him a beautiful Hammer 🔨 avatar.

A month and a half later, Hammer 🔨 becomes a mod.

You talk about dodging a bullet. 
 

We can take away a lesson from any event and mine is..

Treat everyone awesome because you never know that homeless dude could one day become EL PRESIDENTÉ (not Dennis Martinez).
