How does it work if Murray goes into free agency next year?  Since it's not an extension, what are the rules around what we can offer?  I assume we don't have to be under the salary cap to sign him as a free agent, right?

Can't trade him out of fear of not paying him big money.

If they keep him the entire season, the Hawks are definitely intending on paying top dollar to keep him around 3+ more years.

If you trade him, it has to be for a significant player.
