Premium Member Jody23 Posted February 28, 2014 Premium Member Report Share Posted February 28, 2014 At this point I'm rooting for the Nets to have a better record than us. With their remaining schedule, they're going to make the playoffs. One less team to pick ahead of the Hawks in the draft.
Camouflage
Excuse my ignorance here. But I've been looking at numerous mock drafts. And none have Brooklyn with a 1st round draft pick. So am I missing something? Sorry don't have time to go through every post to see if the answer is there. Thanks

ThanksTheir pick went to Boston in the trade that sent Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to the Nets. So, Boston gets the lower draft pick between us and the Nets. Essentially they're rooting for us both to lose.

So confused. Ha
nathan2331
So we are rooting for the Celtics to have the worse record? We get the Cs pick? So confused. Ha No, we are swapping with the Nets meaning we get the better pick between the two of us. The other pick goes to Boston. That's why in a mock draft (done properly) they don't have a first round pick.
Moderators lethalweapon3 Posted March 1, 2014 Moderators Report Share Posted March 1, 2014 Milwaukee, don't have Stan van Gundy call you out! At least look like you're not out there tanking! Go get 'em, Alphabet! Help us out, Zaza! Let's Go Bucks! ~lw3
Admin capstone21 Posted March 6, 2014 Admin Report Share Posted March 6, 2014 Well this season is such a waste...Detroit is such a mess and the Cavs can't get it together...might as well face it that we are going to end up with a crappy draft pick, a losing record and 8th seed.

They are really bad though that's for sure.
Moderators AHF Posted March 6, 2014 Moderators Report Share Posted March 6, 2014 Only 2 wins ahead of each of them. There's a chance...I am hoping. 3 games to make up. If Sap doesn't return the intentional tank is on.

noble
Pistons and Cavs lost tonight. No one really wants the 8th seed, let's be honest. As much as it hurts the only way the Hawks can get out of having to lose in the first round is just do obvious tanking and lose every single game from here out.

It makes next to zero sense to wait this late in the season to tank if that's what they're doing.
