Ikr... it can  get a little boring , especially when people don't add a write up with their pick. It's not that hard to give  at least give 1 reason why you drafted a guy, or why he fits your team.

Btw, you should secure yourself a spot in the cartoon draft , or even better... the greatest movies/ movie characters of all time draft. :smile3:
I'll tell one benefit of joining it.  It's a great way to fill up your Netflix queue!   Because at some point, people are gonna be talking about how great some movies  are ,that you've
never seen before. You're gonna get curious about them , and want to see what all the fuss is about. So you'll start adding movies to your list, and before you know it you'll have 20 +
extra movies to watch before the season starts

BTW...you don't wanna mess with me in a movies draft...I will out quote you, out philosophize you, and imo out last you...

I'm getting my pick ready to go, but what are the rules on dropping a player on your roster and adding another? Is that allowed, no, end of draft, etc?

I would definitely say not in the middle of a draft lol. AHF would have to answer the free agent pickups once the draft is over. I have never seen that done before though.

I was just curious.

Anyways, with my final pick I wanted to pick up an emergency 1/2/3 kind of player. Unfortunately, Jay stole that one from me in Bembry.

So I'll go with the next man on the list, an instant offense type player who will finally get the time to show his skills this season. Final pick is Sean Kilpatrick - G/F

Curry / Beverly / Mills

Fournier /Matthews / Kilpatrick

Aminu / Barton

Illyasova / Lyles / D Davis

Favors / Turner

Rick Carlisle

I really wanted to try and get a stretch four for my team; but every time I had one in mind, off the board he went. With that being said, I am going to have to line up a more traditional NBA team and take another big, whom will also provide injury insurance for Mr. Embiid.

There have been plenty of this seasons draft picks already taken and I am shocked this player is still here. The only reasoning I can come up with is he is behind another pretty good center in Jonas Valanciunas. But just as the Raptors brought in Bismack Biyombo last season to help shore up their interior defense; they have now drafted this young big man to do the same.  He will eventually be given plenty of chances.

With the 221st pick in the Dynasty Draft The Flocking Buzzards take Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year  Award Winner Jakob Poeltl.

Jakob Poeltl #42 of the Utah Utes defends against D'Erryl Williams #11 of the San Diego State Aztecs at the Jon M. Huntsman Center on November 16, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Lol...Are you really "shocked" that Jakob was still on the board or "mildly surprised"...lol

I mean I could understand if Jonas Val or Biyombo were still on the board, then I would agree that the word SHOCKED would apply...but Poeltl?

:-)

I think it all has do to with perception. There were so many players taken that were drafted after Poeltl is what schocked me. He was the last player left in the lottery and a half dozen or more players drafted outside the lottery are gone. My shock is not due to current NBA players taken but more about this years NBA players whom were just drafted.

I took Wade Baldwin before him just as many others took someone else. It just surprised me, shocked me, whatever you want to call it that he kept falling and falling and falling lol

3 more picks left....I'm kinda sad..:-(

I really don't know my roster anymore.  I know I was ranked number 1 in 2K like halfway through, but I would be very surprised if I am top 10 still.

Nice pick! Manu and a few other not be named veteran players were on my short list. I did not want JayBird to totally dominate me in the youth movement though so I took another youngster.

With our final pick, we here at Birds of a Feather wish to select:

C - KELLY OLYNYK

kelly-olynyk1.jpg

Another three point shooter from the newfound position of stretch 5. Adds versatility to our roster and his lack of defense is not a problem considering the rest of the roster.

FINAL ROSTER

HC - Kenny Atkinson

C - Dwight Howard

PF - Serge Ibaka

SF - LeBron James

SG - Andrew Wiggins

PG - Rajon Rondo

Bench - Darren Collison, Alec Burks, Robert Covington, Ryan Anderson, Cody Zeller

Reserves - Michael Carter-Williams, Omri Casspi, Kelly Olynyk

@capstone21 to take us home!
