Official Game Thread: Hawks at Nuggets

This was just a terrible overall sequence. It started with Wallace taking every shot which is what Denver was giving us.

 

Trae gets trapped but finds Bembry for a dunk. Then we finally got an open look for Reddish who took too long to shoot and Denver defense collapsed. If he just would have shot it, it would have been wide open. Then we go to Cam on the PnR. He beats his man off the dribble but looks to pass, changes his mind, shoots a contested mid range and gets blocked. Then Trae gets blocked and that's that. All the while, we were reaching on defense. Out of position and just playing poorly

When Cam doesn't think too much, he's actually not bad right now on offense but when he thinks too much, he just kills his own game. 

 

He's a rookie. I have to remember that every rookie learns at a different pace. Not every one and done just gets it.
