Game 7 - What's YOUR Plan?

You get to be Nate for the day and coach the Hawks for Game 7. What's your strategy going in?

What's your starting lineup with and without Bogi (since his status is unclear)?

What will minutes distribution look like? Does playing time decrease for some guys and increase for others?

Would you play Embiid differently? What about Harris and Curry?

Do you slow the pace down, speed it up, or keep it roughly the same?

It's win or go home, and you are in control. What do you do?

Clint what the f#k Clint? If you miss another wide open dunk or layup and go soft when you should go hard I'm letting OO and Knight take your place. You didn't even have John back on that one play. Trae is playing like the bigger man. Be a Big Man. Make Embiid think you crazy before he would think you soft.

Solo you've been playing hard all season. Prove that that's who you really are or we're going to integrate Cam and give him your minutes.

Bogi... Have you met Cam? You might be better off the floor than on especially if you're going to play Iso Joe(y) instead of ball movement Bogi.

Cam. Are you ready to show the basketball world who you are? Not yet... Just play good defense no turnovers, just hustle,  ball movement and no pressure.

 

However many minutes we all need to do that let's make sure we do that.

We're trying to win so big that Kris Dunn, Skylar Mayes, Tony Snell,Cam Reddish Nathan Knight and Bruno (if eligible) all get to ball and show just how deep/talented we are

Starting lineup change: Bogi for Gallo. Regardless if Bogi is cleared to play.

If Reddish has been cleared medically, then I want him to take Solo's minutes.

Keep the intensity on defense and have confidence in your shot.  We need JC, Kev, Bogi, Gallo, Lou playing loose.  I'd like to see more passing in the half court game to get those guys going.   That's on Tree to make sure they get early touches and good looks at the basket.  I've seen too much iso and contested shots the last couple games.

The biggest thing we have to do defend Embiid like we did in game 6, attack Curry like we did in game 4, make Harris a bystander like in game 5 and don't allow no Maxey or Shake heroics which game the outcome of the game. No Simmons allowed Trae to go the f off but he was fresh in the 4th and it impacted us negatively when our others wasn't hitting shots.

If Bogi can’t go, start Kevin at the 2 and Solo at the 3. 
increase Trae’s minutes and Lou’s minutes 

Snatch Solo as quick as possible and let Gallo play some 3 and the back up 4 (increase Gallo’s mins)

Increase John’s mins

Rotate Clint and OO17 more to keep Clint fresh throughout the game (increase OO17’s mins)

I would speed up the pace a bit even running off of made baskets, take the first good shot. If it not there, work the clock to get the best shot. 
Run several plays for John including post ups. When we get in a half court set. 
 

I would not play Embiid much different, I would tell Capella and OO17 to run like hell straight down the middle of the floor after rebounds and made shots to wear Embiid out.  I would guard the three point line and force Philly to drive or dump it into Embiid and let him wear himself out. I would flash the double team late to keep Embiid uncomfortable.

I have no confidence that Bogi will play game 7 or be healthy enough. He really looked sluggish but now knowing he had a sore knee, I get it. We rode the shit outta him in the last series and early this series due to incepted abilities of Hill and Snell. I want to see 42 mins from Trae. I want to see some of those Bogi mins go to Lou but if he sucks, pull him quick. Gallo needs to get a bulk of Bogi's mins if he doesn't play.

Snell has played a total of 30 minutes in this series, he has given us 1 steal, 1 assist, 1 rebound and ZERO points on 7 shot attempts..SMH.

Seeing Trae and Kevin with 40 minutes or more each for us. Hoping Gallo is good for 30 minutes and 00 helps us stay aggressive with more minutes. 00 plays much bigger than he is. Playing bigger up front works almost like a charm in this series so lets go there more.

Guys have to hit open shots and take care of the ball. Period.  It's hard enough fighting through the defense. We can't win a game 7 in Philly if we are turning the ball over and missing layups and wide open jumpers. Coupled with their defense, the physicality, and the home crowd...it will result in a lopsided, anticlimactic, blowout.

Don't step on the court if you aren't ready to hit shots... Play under control and take care of the damn ball.

His minutes high against NY was 41, this series has been 3 straight games of 40 min. We need it all.

I know Cam and Dunn haven't touched the floor in ages but I wouldnt mind if they got thrown in for defensive spurts or at least to disrupt Curry when he is hot...i mean, goodness...he is looking like Steph out there. I'm pretty sure Doc would not expect those two and didn't gameplan for them. Plus, PLEASE DONT START SOLO AGAIN. The Sixers are getting away with a lot of moving screens but I think the defensive dog in those 2 will provide a better fight. How about more OO??? He's always going to throw that dunk down with force and his rebounding is much needed, not to mention blocks. It's been times where I would rather have him out there then Capella who looks shook most of this series...hell where the hell was Capella when Trae was trying to push Embid off his teammate?

Definitely, love his energy and fearlessness which is astounding for a rookie on this stage. He has earned more minutes and I hope Coach finds a line up that takes advantage of that. Instead of that usual line up that can't score for nothing.
