And, on another note, why all these folks wanna turn surpluses into deficits?  Having AJ and Hunter/Bogi is a good thing.  Nobody stays healthy all season.  Nobody plays well every game.  Chances are we'll rather have them all.

Having OO and CC is a good thing for the same reasons.

Just because one has a good game it doesn't render the other useless trade fodder.

Observations from the game:

Last night, our 2nd unit played without either Trae or Murray.  Could it be that they have been guilty of waiting for whichever one was on the floor with them?  Jalen Johnson is living up to his repitition from his G League coaches of last season!

Hold your horses.  AJ had a wonderful game.  We are all somewhat in awe right now.  News flash.  Every game that he plays from now on will not be this great.  He's good.  In fact, he's great.  Just don't expect too much too soon.  Estatic that he's a Hawk!

Bucks average hitting 19 threes per game.  They made 17 in the 1st half.  Many of those that they made in the 1st were taken, but missed, in the 2nd half.  They attempted to bury Atlanta but this Hawk team just kept on keeping on.  Applying pressure.  Stealing the ball!  Hitting their foul shots!

Hate to say it.  No hero ball last night, just solid team play.  Regardless of who was on the floor, it was a Hawk team out there.  All five going off as one!  Gotta remember what worked tonight and continue to do it.  Last night the Hawks just looked like winners!

It's a long season.

That is sensible but I am still enjoying the **** out of this one.  Want to see regular rotation minutes for JJ and AJ.  Nate needs to prep this team for the playoffs and elite talents with minimal experience need the reps to be ready.  Would feel like that even if both struggled in this game but seeing their potential in such a big game will hopefully make an impression on Nate.

You can’t have too many quality wings and young guys are going to have their ups and downs. I wouldn’t consider trading any of them right now.*  Bogi and Hunter have a history of getting hurt.  Let’s build quality depth and if our problem is having a bunch of quality wings available off the bench that is pretty much the dream for coaches and GMs in this era.  No need to immediately flip quality depth, imo.

Agreed - he put the clamps to Ingram the previous game. 

Boxscore watching rarely tells the entire story.  We traded Huerter for a pick and JHol - that's what people want? lol

The TO's were the only low point last night.  Part of that is his hesitancy - just catch the ball and go, stop thinking.

Also, I like how ESPN posted their Milwaukee article this morning by making no reference to our big win and just by changing the start of the article from the "Bucks have their best start ever at 10-0" they had already written to "Bucks breakout with 9-1 record." lol

JJ also probably hasn't played more than like 30 games in a year in his whole life lol

1000%.  Trading anyone in the rotation for a pick right now makes zero sense.  We are in win now mode, why would we do that?  AJ is in the first year of his rookie deal.

JJ has now played more minutes in these 10 games than he did all of last season.

Was so great to see AJ do this last night though.  Dude has wiggle, he isn't just a shooter.  He was faking ppl out, had a few nice hesi's and just overall knows how to get his shot off with balance.  He has real potential as a scorer.  

For JJ I never knew what kind of player he was or his skillset since we have so little film of him at Duke and ATL.  It's great to see that he could be kind of like the do it all guy and stuff the stat sheet. 

I've been highly critical of our lack of depth and trading Huerter for a pick, this game made me feel a LOT better if AJ/JJ continue playing well.  That being said, it's only one game.

Great night!!! I just finished reading through this whole thread.  Milwaukee was so hot from 3 in the first... Then they went about 5/29 in the 2nd through 4th.

• As good as we played, we have to figure out how to collapse on the paint AND recover to the open man shooting a 3.  Sooooo many wide open threes last night -- the game could have been a lot closer by the end
• OO is the truth, I love his game.  He continues to get better and build chemistry with that second unit
• JJ!  His confidence is growing and it's showing on the court
• Enough has been said about AJ, I think my favorite thing last night was how aggressive he was.  A lot of the new guys have been shy and I think no Trae this game was a blessing in disguise for the bench guys
• Hunter needs to sit in the gym for 4 straight hours and learn to dribble without moving his pivot foot.  And clean up the sloppy drive-into-traffic turnovers.  His defense has been very good
• Murray had a "quiet" 25 point near triple-double.  Feels good to have a trustworthy backup to Trae for nights like this
• Nate's rotations last night were good -- he was forced to go off script and he did well imo.  He let AJ ride out for extended streaks (31 minutes) and didn't rotate Clint in when the on-floor unit was hot and defending Giannis well.  Great game from Nate.

Looking forward to our game against the NUMBER ONE team in the west Wednesday

We made a concerted effort to get them off the 3 point line from the 2nd quarter on. Part of recovering to the perimeter is about EFFORT!  We also went after Grayson Allen on defense.

Some of the posts on this thread make me think you would have some people supporting this unironically.  Probably the same ones who are still trying to figure out how we didn't win the NBA finals after we were "lucky" enough to lose Trae during the ECF.

Yup. When he thinks he gets mechanically, clumsy and choppy. When he acts on instincts it usually looks fluid. Agreed thinking makes him less smarter.
