Made my first vote with Trae on the ballot.  He has been beasting at an All-NBA level over the last month.  Hope if he gets an invite this year that he accepts it.

So I tried to vote and it won't bring up any players names. Just has a filter for names and points/assists etc but nothing I do brings up players.

Finally got the AS votes to go in. someone sent me the mobile version of the voting site. foolish kid. I use a desktop PC like any good American.

Nobody from the team should make it. I know he has picked up his play a lot.... He has been closer to 21-22 than last season,  but the team is abysmal.

Haliburton was under. 500 the entire season last year, but got high praise for the numbers he put up.

Let's see if the same goes for Trae, if he continues balling.

Most important, let's see how these players and coaches vote.

I'm not expecting him to make it.  The team is slumping at the worst time and they'll blame Trae as they always do.  Nevermind the terrible supporting cast.  Only other guys get that excuse.

I was actually shocked to see Trae to be 3rd in fan vote among guards in the East.

I think when Knicks fans see this, they'll start to flood the votes for Brunson, seeing that he's so far behind the top 3.

 

Props to the little kids and international fans, who tend to love Trae Young.  I know they can track it, but it would be interesting as hell to see where most of Trae's votes are coming from.  Hawks fans are so jaded and apathetic at times, that it wouldn't surprise me if most of his votes DIDN'T come from Georgia.

 

For those of us who ARE voting, keep doing it every day.

Also, it does help that Trae is among the top 3 in scoring among guards.  People tend to look at stats when voting anyway.  Trae's 28 and 11 is hard to deny.

It's stuff like that this that people have to watch out for.   The media do not watch Trae on a nightly basis.  And they're the ones who create narratives around players.

In the East, there are 4 players who everyone will probably have on their ballots.  It's that 5th guy that will be the wild card.

If the Hawks don't really make a push in January, and the fans don't vote Trae in, these punk ass coaches are going to leave him off, in favor of the guards on "winning" teams.  The fact that Trae's 30 and 10 consecutive game streak got very little press nationally, tells you all you need to know how the media and coaches may view Trae.

Once again though, Haliburton got high praise last season for putting up gaudy numbers, despite the Pacers being under .500

National media is catching up.  CBS sports line article today about who should be the starters and they not only had Trae as a starter, they had his picture in the thumbnail photo for the article on the main page.
