Guest
I am serious, and don't call me Shirley(or Sally sunshine)... Don't worry, if I wanted to insult you I'd call you @Dolfan23! Ohhhhh! Seriously though, can any Houston-based squawkers do a wellness check on Dolfan. He might've blown out his other knee and has fallen .... and he can't get up. FrankWhite
No excuses, but this was the fifth game of a west coast road trip, missing Kyle's shooting and the space he creates, with Al unable to hit open shots, against the best team in the west who are virtually unbeatable at home with Draymond Green hitting 3s like his name is Klay Thompson. So we lose and now Dennis is a scrub compared to Leandro Barbosa?? Whaa?
Gray Mule
We, the Hawk fans, are getting desperate! Woe is me! This late in the season and, after that loss, we only have a 10 game lead over second place. Will we survive this? Stay tuned for further updates.
Premium Member BrazilianHawk Posted March 19, 2015 Premium Member Report Share Posted March 19, 2015 The difference is the Warriors won @ Oakland. The Hawks won @ Atlanta.
NBASupes
Yeah I agree on the 2 guard. Having Ray, or Kevin Martin or Gary Neal right now would be a nice luxury. But hopefully we can score one in the draft. Like you said, it's get healthy time. A healthy Hawks team is certainly the best in the East if not the league. We need someone developmental. Neal/Ray/Martin don't solve potential issues and none of them are starters either.
AUhawksfan
I thought Alex was a level-headed poster, when did he join The Miserables? I think it was the day his boy Payne got traded.

Moderators PSSSHHHRRR87 Posted March 19, 2015 Moderators Report Share Posted March 19, 2015 Horford: 4/18 If anything, this game showed that Korver is more important to the Hawks than Klay is to the Warriors. They got great nights from scrubs. Barnes hasn't shot that well all season. The Warriors are more individually talented than the Hawks, but they are not better as a team. Premium Member SalvorMallow Posted March 20, 2015 Premium Member Report Share Posted March 20, 2015 I imagine one of these threads didn't pop up after the game we won without Thabo while they were at full strength. Couldn't find any differences then? I thought Alex was a level-headed poster, when did he join The Miserables? The Warriors didn't have Bogut. Popular Post JTB
My goodness! I was going to leave this thread alone because I knew some hawk fans would overreact but I feel that I have to make some points here....some have already been said, some haven't: Point#1 Hawks are built as a TEAM and will always take a step back when they are missing a player even if he's just a role player like Korver or scott or even Thabo who doesn't shoot well but brings great defense on the perimeter....compare all of that to a warriors team who has a superstar in curry along with a rising star in Klay, these 2 can win a game for their warriors team if their role players happens to be off a night. What I'm saying is that the Hawks wins always come as a WHOLE team. It's not a player coming in droppin 40pts going into westbrook mode when the team is out of the game and that's fine because the Hawks are SO DEEP they can get atleast one if not 2 of their role guys to contribute with starters EVERY NIGHT. Point#2 ABOUT THIS HOMECOURT ISH Someone said the Warriors are going to make it out the west due to homecourt! LOL....I laugh extremely hard, not because I don't think they can make but because they have to battle a lot of strong teams in the playoffs and personally I think the GRIZZ and Spurs can beat this warriors team no problem and OKC for that matter. Also I feel like both the Hawks and warriors need to worry about how they show up in the semi-finals and conference finals if they make it rather than worrying about actually making the finals! You see Hawks fans there is a such thing as regular season teams and playoff teams! And the warriors are out of their damn mind if they are thinking finals when they may be facing westbrook and Durant in the 1st, a Spurs team in the second round possibly who knows what it takes to win it all, and a very gritty Grizzlies team possibly who will punish a green and bogut dou in the paint the whole series of a conference finals if it comes to that. Lol the Warriors need to make sure they can battle through the west and actually make it out. Their goal need to be reaching the WCF first because it's going to be tough to do that. As for the Hawks well if it wasn't for Lebron James the road could possibly be easy! i expect the Hawks as a healthy team to beat their first 2 opponents but I'm not going to be fooled by the regular season series of going 3-1 against the cavs. The cavs will be in the ECF hands down! Lebron who I can't stand can get his team to the ECF by himself with little help! He don't really need the help until he plays or if he plays our Hawks and they actually show up unlike the pacers and for the finals opponent if he gets there of course he needs help then to. Point#3 ITS TIME TO GET HEALTHY Sorry for the long post but I think people are looking to deep into the Hawks and Warriors records. Both teams have had a phenomenal year but regular season for both of these teams will not matter very soon! Time to get healthy and battle through a grueling playoffs! And remember not to downplay any opponent! Truth be told! Neither team has done anything that will be remembered...yet! Homecourt for both teams is important but it shouldn't be a goal to go to 7 games! In fact it will probably be very nerve wrecking facing a Lebron James whose coming off of 4 straight finals appearances and facing him in a game 7 for the Hawks and not to compare but game 7s haven't always worked out well for the Hawks or the pacers who had a game 7 vs lebron 2 years ago and they didn't show up! And they had homecourt advantage just like they did last season and they went 4-2. Anyways it's time for the Hawks to focus on health after they win 3 games to clinch the east. I appreciate it! To those who took the time to read my book! Lol

Guest
Dennis was really bad offensive, but I think his defense vs curry was quite okay. He made Curry mad... <script src="https://platform.vine.co/static/scripts/embed.js"></script> OMFG, there was never a moment in my life where I wanted our guy to straight chin-check a guy more than I wanted Dennis to swing on "tough guy" Curry. What a b*tch-move. Best believe Curry saw his big man standing there while Dennis' teammates were already at the bench at that moment. I didn't really mind the Warriors before this game but now I'm in @Spud2Nique's boat. F*ck the Warriors. I hope they get Memphis at some point so we can see how "tough" little boy Curry is. Hell, I hope they see OKC in round 1 so Westbrook can break him in half. Before this season, Curry wasn't "tough" enough to even last a whole season. Congrats on getting the paper mache out of your ankles Curry. Be glad Dennis didn't think you were worth it.

To be fair, Dennis does do some things on offense and defense that might be considered 'dirty' if it were a player from another team. I'm pretty sure the elbows on offense start to get a little annoying after a while.

It's fair to be upset about it, it's not fair to act all big bad tough guy after the game's been pretty much decided to try to showboat in front of the home fans (oh, and with backup right next to you to "hold you back"). B*tch. Move. Has there ever been as unlikeable a duo of MVP candidates as there are this year?
