Lebron James is finished, the Hawks can take the East.

We can talk about the refs and Green's suspension but the cold, hard reality is Golden State played like they had the title won in games 5 and 6 which in most cases is a huge mistake. Even if you have a big lead in the series, you have to continue to play hard to earn it, and not let off of the gas.

This is in a large part, on Draymond Green (despite what he did tonight overall) but Kerr and Curry's arrogance was also a big factor.

Game 5: 41 pts - 16 rebs - 7 asst - 3 blks - 3 stls

Game 6:  41 pts - 8 rebs - 11 asst - 3 blks - 4 stls

Game 7:  27 pts - 11 rebs - 11 asst - 3 blks - 2 stls

3 game average:  36.3 pts - 11.7 rebs - 9.7 asst - 3 blks - 3 stls

Make no mistake sir.  This is the biggest reason why they won.  They took it from Golden St.

Guess you missed my other comment which turned out to be foreshadowing.

"Draymond is going to feel silly if Golden State fully chokes because his completely stupid comments woke up a beast"

It wasn't just about the suspension, he allegedly called LBJ a f***boy in that game.

Hawkmoor is my dude but, one star thread.

Its all good.  On to the Hawks. What are they gonna do? Bron got mulitple chips in Miami, now got one in Cleveland.  What are the Hawks gonna do?  Draft? Free Agency or keep he same crew?

It's wide open. Everything is on the table outside of Kyle and our FA's.

We aren't going to change much. I see some light roster shuffling but that's it.

As long as Lebron and co. play at that level, we aren't taking the East crown from them. Not with this current team.

Again, as I keep saying, Lebron is the East, and the Hawks need to beat him if we want to compete now.

So, since the Hawks can't even win 1 playoff game against the best player in the NBA with Horford/Teague/Sap core, we either keep losing

OR

rebuild, new core.

Both ways, we will lose to Lebron. But the rebuild has a longer more promising future with the hope of a future star from a better draft position, where as the current core can keep being an afterthought around the league.

Tank?  Rebuild?  Why?

No matter who the Hawks obtain, if he's not the current hero from Cleveland, we are not

winning the east.  Nope.  Not happening.  Can't be done.  LeBron has it sewed up.  He has

so many fans behind him.  He has total power in the NBA.

What can we do?

Try to get all the young talent available to us.  Strive to be #2 in the east until "The King"

retires from the NBA or dies of old age, whichever comes first.

Uhm???  Rebuild for what?  It's a strong possibility that if we rebuild wrong, we will end up waiting 10 more years before we have a team good enough to even make the playoffs.   That loses FAs.  Know our History!  IF we stay in contention then maybe some good free agent will consider us.   IF we drop out of contention, we may become the new 76ers... always in the lottery.. a training ground for other teams..  A D-League team in the NBA.

Congratulations Cavs fans. We all knew Lebron was the best player in the game and he just reinforced it in this series. That block on Iguadala won them them the game IMO.

Golden  State has some soul searching to do. There were far too many bad shots early in shot clocks and behind the back turnovers and it cost them. They looked like a team that really started feeling themselves. The Bogut injury was much bigger than people thought. Ezeli and Varajo were terrible. They missed bunny after bunny and allowed Tristan Thompson to get off.

Golden State really is a sum of their parts  much like the Hawks. They just have better scoring and two way playing  parts. With all that being said Cleveland really exposed Curry's and Thompsons lack of athletcism and propensity to jack long threes instead of drive to the basket.

Nah.  Cleveland benefited from Draymond's absense in game 5 and from the Bogut injury.   With Bogut out, Tristen Thompson was able to dominate the boards.
