Then again it was familiarity with the Spurs, so no fault there. Then again, this would be familiarity with the Warriors. Again, not bad. I’m hoping for Fiz. That is the way the a lot of jobs work to be honest. A friend of yours gets a good position somewhere; and if he or she trust your good judgement and ability they try to steal you away.
KB21
Schlenk stated on 92.9 this AM that the Hawks have interviewed four candidates already, plus another today, and probably two tomorrow. I'm curious to see if any of these interviews are the Spurs assistants, Ime Udoka and James Borrego. I think Darren Erman from New Orleans will end up getting an interview as well. Might as well keep him around. Knows the system, and the players seem to like him so.........................Good luck Darwin..

Popular Post KB21
https://www.sbnation.com/2017/11/20/16659188/stephen-silas-charlotte-hornets-nba-assistant-coach-how-practices-work Quote After almost two decades on the sidelines, the 44-year-old Stephen has outgrown his father’s shadow. His fellow coaches find him to be thorough and meticulous. Players respond enthusiastically to his even-keeled, yet demanding, approach Quote In a league that is trending toward more and more toward specialization, Silas’ coaching profile is broader and more diverse. He’s done offense with Nelson and defense with Clifford, two of the game’s great tacticians. He’s worked individually with guards, big men, and wings. He’s coached summer league. “There isn’t much in the NBA that I haven’t done,” Silas says Quote When Clifford got the Hornets job four-and-a-half years ago, he didn’t even bother to interview Silas. He simply asked him if he’d like to stay on staff. As the number two man, Silas runs practices on occasion and takes the lead in game-planning. During games, he’s responsible for substitutions. “He can do everything,” Clifford tells me. “It’s healthy for the team to not have to listen to the same voice 82 times. I have so much trust and he’s so thorough and knowledgeable in what he does that I’m never worried. The preparation is going to be as good or better.” Quote If Silas has a speciality, it’s player development — Clifford was immediately drawn to how Silas interacts with players.

I rather Fizdale but that’s not happening

I rather Fizdale but that’s not happening Agreed, it’s his time and he was with Schlenk at GS (helped develop Steph). He’ll be the choice. I wanted Ham, Fitz, or Silas in that order since Snyder ain’t coming back. But Ham is part of Bud’s guard and Fitz will take a bigger/better job. I’d say Silas is qualified as all get-out, is deserving, and would be a pretty damn good choice.
hazer
I hope Ham will stick around as head assistant if he doesn’t get top spot...

JTB
Being that Silas has some deep roots with Curry I think it MAY be smart to hire him since Schlenk is going to draft Trae Young. thats right I’m calling it....schlenk will hire Silas, draft Young to be his poor mans curry, trade Dennis for anything and the new start/new culture will be Silas and Trae Young.
