Popular Post RedDawg#8
Reddish has a physical stature about him that once he fills out his frame, he is going to be visually imposing. The one thing we will need if we are ever going compete for titles is a ball handler/playmaker with size. Every contender has that. Bron, KD, Giannis/Middleton, Kawhi/PG, Harden, Simmons, Tatum, Siakim, etc... You need those guys, even if you have an elite big man or an elite point guard. Cam looks like he could be that guy one day. This will likely always be Trae’s team, but he will need that running mate that will put fear in to defenses to the point that they can no long blitz Trae at mid court and allow Cam to feast 4 on 3 I see this in our future. Cam will be Tatum and PG (Indy version) very soon

He just gets it done. You know what I'm talking about. Put Klay on this current Warriors team right now, with no Curry and Green for a significant period of time, and let's see what Klay can do. Would the offense change? Would he see double teams ( something that never goes his way ). Would he have to work for his points? We see the effect it's had on Draymond Green, without his boys. I wonder how dramatically it would affect Klay, if teams game planned to stop him, like they do Trae Young. 1

Thomas
Its almost like Diesel took over this thread. The topic is Cam Reddish and not Klay Thompson. Cam has that trajectory moving forward in my view of a HOF. He is truly that gifted on both ends and it will get much, much better. How many folks laughed at that thought a year ago about Trae? Believe we now we have another one in house.

For sure, if Reggie Miller could be the Alpha on his own squad, then Klay most definitely can too. But as far as Joe, physical stature they are very similar, and I hope an NBA player could dribble the ball more than a few feet right? He may not be able to take his guy off the dribble face up, but I’m confident he has a couple of post moves in him at least. Plus he can shoot over the top of most guys. Might I add, nobody knew JJ had it in him to go iso the way he did either when he was with Phoenix. His role with the Suns was very similar to Klay‘s role with GS Edited February 24, 2020 by RedDawg#8

Premium Member Popular Post JayBirdHawk Posted February 26, 2020 Premium Member Popular Post Report Share Posted February 26, 2020 Quote Behind the scenes, Trae Young was influential in helping Reddish maintain confidence even with the numbers telling him the opposite. Young started his rookie year poorly and also received the same bust label that Reddish received. But the killer mentality lives inside of Young, and he lives to prove people wrong. That mentality is something he’s trying to help Reddish discover within himself. “We’ve won a couple of games this year with just his defense alone. It’s not a surprise to see this. He’s really good at scoring at one end and really good at defending at the other end. He definitely can be one of the best two-way players as he gets older and stronger. When everything comes together, he can be one of the best in our league.” Quote Reddish has worked extensively with Vince Carter before and after practices to help with his footwork. Every single detail of what Reddish should do with his feet has been dissected by Carter, from how his toes should be pointed to how they should be aligned before he receives a pass. 6

Thomas
Cam had a really strong stretch in the second half that helped keep us within striking distance of a win. Still inconsistent I guess but man he is gonna make a more and more positive difference for us. Will be interesting to see where his numbers end up for the season after such a slow start offensively. Somebody on the Hawks staff just may have been listening to Supes on here last year.

Let’s face it, all the great defenders had something whether it was trash talking like the glove Payton, kg, Kobe and others. When you mix it up on D, feelings will get hurt and somebody’s mother’s name will be used in a derogatory manner. Those hands 🖐 on D, they never stop. Cam is our new age Plastic man ! Get it!

A contemporary crash course in "The Art of Trash Talking".

You want to see them excel with their strengths and reduce and improve their weakness.
