I think his potential to improve drastically as a defender is there unlike most young players.  His feel and IQ on the offensive end is just too good not to translate over.

Someone needs to teach Trae a better rapport with the refs (I would think Nick).  Not frowning all the time would go a long way in itself.  You can get on their ass as much as possible, just be cool and calm.  SGA said that he butters refs up and it works lol.
