The 8th day is the day little Jewish boys were circumcized and brought into God's covenant.  But more importantly the 8th day is the day of resurrection.  When old things become new.  Jesus was raised on the day after the Sabbath, which is the 7th day.  The 8th day ushers in a new and better covenant.  Highly symbolic.  Seems Dwight understands it very well.

Aw crap.  I forgot.    Even though he didn't play here long enough to get his number retired he still ranks top 5 of my all time favorite hawks.

Got a good vibe from watching. Baze and Dwight's hearts seem to be in the right place.

I'm excited!  Dwight has his homecoming and I had mine a couple months ago after being on the west coast for 5+ years. I'm ready for some live Hawks ball!

He"s not in my top 5 or top 10, but
 after this press conference and the "thank you Atlanta" full page ad , he's quickly  climbing to the top of the list .

It seems to me that if the two major signings you did in the offseason cry during the presser, because they are so excited to be with your team, you kinda did the right thing.

I think the teams motivation will be absolutely through the roof. Schröder in his 1st year as a starter, Bazemore trying to give back the trust the Hawks continue to give him, Millsap in a contract year, THjr trying to make the next step and obviously Howard - plus the professionals Korver and Sefolosha.

The more time goes by, the better my feeling for next season becomes. Especially because outsiders think the Hwaks probably got worse...lol.
