Not if you want to win a championship.

You need high level players who can match or exceed Trae's offensive productivity.  KAT is one of those players.

Mass start speed skating:   C- . . . . It's like watching a NASCAR race with no wrecks, then people go all out on the final lap. Would've been better if they went all out for at least the final 3 laps.  The 500m is a much better race.

NBA Dunk Contest:  D- . . . a very forgettable dunk contest this year.  When the winning dunk has the guy doing a great move, but barely touching the rim, you know it's a weak contest.  Ant Man should've entered this contest this year.

KAT is a pipe dream, now that Minnesota is actually a playoff level team.  He and Ant Man are going to be a dangerous squad to face in the playoffs.

Still . . you're talking about giving up all that we have . . . but we're currently a team 2 games below .500.  So what do we really have?

 

Keep Okongwu and Trae . . . everyone else is replaceable.

It may be time to move the 3 point contest to last, and let the dunk contest come after the skills challenge.

Trae, if you're reading this, know my heart is in the right place, please.

 

Kinda glad that Trae comes out of the contest feeling hungry... feeling like he's still disrespected... feeling like he's going to have the last laugh when the season's over.

To be honest, he's still so young, I'd be nervous if he took home something this weekend that made him feel he's more respected than he was going into it. (So, yeah, I want him to have a very average game tomorrow, or if very good, still not good enough to take home an MVP trophy.)
