The 72 game season throws off my sense of perspective but still have us under 50%.  That is very much in play.

I'd take under on the top 3 and hope to win 2 of those bets.  Winning 68% of your games is no joke.  Historically, there are usually 2 teams that do win at that rate, but there's no guarantee it will be the Bucks/Celtics/Nets.  I could see the 76ers or Heat making a big regular season leap

Being realistic, I see us wining 40 +/- 3 games. You still have to learn to win.

That 37 to 43 win range would all be winning records (>50%).  We definitely aren't elite but a winning record is very much in play.

As campster said though, still have to learn to win. We have a lot of talent now, but it's a lot of new talent; the most important thing will be learning how to play together along with needing to take time for LP to figure out which rotations work best while doing that -- all without having the time in the gym of a traditional offseason and training camp. 

I could easily see this team's record not reflect the true talent level of the roster at the end of the season. But I also think we're talented enough to secure a playoff spot even with those considerations. And hopefully by the time the playoffs roll around we'll have settled into a good groove.

We have talent and depth that now needs to gel and be coached for us to win.

Along with the FAs, we expect growth from our young wings, a healthy Capela and continued improvement from Trae and Collins.

For everyone wanting to see how good a coach LP is we're about to find out.   This is a giant, capable puzzle of a roster.   Lots of options, lots of levers to pull, little room for excuses.   Job one is figuring out everyone's role and getting them to buy in to theirs.

LP was getting a lot of coach of the year nods going into year 2. Now he is the most question piece. Why is it so hard to see that Travis tanked last year's squad to lose more games and this year, he suped it up to be a winner.

If this Hawk team is 8th in the east, someone had better get their stuff together and be ready to fight this 8th place team.  You say, Hawks will not win 1/2 their games?  Prove it!
