He said during the game he's been on the bike and staying fresh.

Hopefully he can be back after the new year. We've got to start building chemistry soon with our main guys so we can go on a real run.

We just have not had any - from training camp, thru preseason to this moment.

Chemistry matters, just makes this easier for everyone.

Funnily, Carter spoke on this during the orl game in relation to all the hardship guys.  Was making fun of the fact that they're probably all breathing so hard that they can't hear what the coach is telling them to do.

Said he's been there. 

His point was no side work or practice can prepare you for real game minutes.

It's been a disappointing year for him, but he still has huge potential as a two way wing.

Normally, I'd say the sooner the better. But given the current circumstances, I say keep him AWAY from the rest of the team until things calm down. We don't need him tied up in "health and safety protocols" for an additional week when he comes back.

Played 1v1, next is progressing to 3v3, 5v5 will be difficult - no exact timeline but hopefully sooner than later.

That sounds like 2 weeks or so.

What's that mean?   

For a wrist it seems like if you're cleared to play contact ball of any kind then you're good to go.  Other than just getting into shape.

I took it to mean not many 5v5 opportunities available with the schedule.

I literally predicted this just yesterday. He is likely 2 weeks away. There is only one stretch where we have 2 days off which is when we typically would have the chance for a 5v5, and that's after the road trip between games on the 9th and 12th. If he has not progressed to 5v5 by that window, he will either have to go to the G League or they will draw out his return even more. My guess is no later than the last week of January, between the 17th and 24th.
