They are vaccinated. Most of these players are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms.

Tonight, I really want to see some experimentation with lineups, but that's asking way too much from Nate.

This new strain Omicron doesn't care about vaccinations it seems. They do help some, but you can still catch this new strain even if you are fully vaccinated. Luckily it's just mild symptoms.

Not for this to get overly political, but the vaccine isn't a prevention against COVID.  It's there to reduce your chances of getting COVID and the severe effects that come with COVID . . at least that's what they're telling us.  It's just like the flu shot doesn't necessarily prevent you from getting the flu, but it does reduce the side effects.

But it's obvious that COVID is a different beast, seeing that it's highly contagious and is constantly mutating.  And because people can't stay away from each other, the likelihood of transmission is still going to be high.  Not surprised that cases are skyrocketing 2 - 3 weeks after Thanksgiving.  This is exactly what happened last year, and we had our highest rates of infection in January, before they started to drastically decline by February.

6th - 11 place in the East is separated by 1 game.  And fortunately for us, everyone in the East outside of Brooklyn and Cleveland are playing .500 basketball.  So I don't think the main pack is going to run away from us.   

Honestly, the goal is to simply stay afloat until we get some of our major pieces back.

Nate is literally disappointing the hell out of me right now.   It's almost as if he's afraid the kids might just play well, which will have everyone second guessing his ass.  We're already short handed. Why wasn't Sharife or JJ on the damn plane anyway?  Were we going to be content with dressing just 10 - 11 players?

No way they're gonna do that, brolio.  No way to define "mild".  Considering some dudes that had it have ended up with 'stuff' that's lingered for months, it's not worth the risk that some dude is having some level of respiratory trouble and ends up passing out on the court (or worse).

What they need to do is re-enact the protocols that curtailed outbreaks last season.  Then, try to understand how/why the delta variant is running rampant - per the former surgeon general on the radio last week, these outbreaks are delta not omicron.  Omicron hasn't even 'hit' yet, per him.   Which .... yikes on yikes on yikes
