Trae's biggest problem is that he misses too many shots. Im not sure how you can fix that.

The 2021-2022 season he didn't miss too many shots and led the league in points scored.

He is capable.  Slow starter for some reason.  Been that way his whole career.

Can we get a superstar who doesn't need half a season to get warmed up? I know many bristle when Trae is criticized, but he has too many flaws to be a number 1. We need a dominant big or wing to build around, and Trae can settle in as a number 2, a role he's much better suited for.

Get your panties out of a bunch.   We have some winning pieces on this squad.  Patience.

Can you tell me who the winning pieces are?

For two games, you're having the biggest melt of all of us besides terrell and Bonkers.

If you watch the games, if Trae and DJM start hitting shots consistently (LIKE WE KNOW THEY CAN) we would've easily won both games.

These are guys that have proven to shoot at their spots at a good clip (not league best, but consistently). Just because they have a stretch of two bad games to start a season doesn't mean the whole season will go on like this.

Can our superstar hit half his of his shots as opposed to 1/3 if his shots. That's all I'm asking for.

Did you watch the playoffs?  Trae can win games.

We've won our openers mostly the past few years.  It's not a magic formula for predicting how the season goes.

At this time of year we have to remind ourselves that the highs and lows will even out.  Two years ago we destroyed Dallas in the opener and everyone thought the Hawks dynasty was on the way as we started 3-1.  Then we lost eight out of nine games and our record was suddenly 4-9.

Trae's poor shooting numbers are not merely a recent development. His numbers from last year aren't great.

Very true.  It's definitely something to watch.

If Trae doesn't trend back towards the 2021-2022 season numbers all of the Westbrook and AI comparisons become more valid.
