Who's been getting take out? So I went to the grocery store yesterday for us and gf and the folks. Stocked up enough for a couple weeks but definitely not hoarding. I don’t think I’ve bought a roll of toilet paper since this thing started. I just run my a$$hole by the car wash ... Got a burger and fries from our local neighborhood spot. (Where everybody knows my name...literally they yell SPUD ). Unwrapped it, washed my hands 🖐 and ate it. Outside of that, haven’t had outside food for a couple of weeks. ps There was an altercation on line at the grocery store . So this lady just tapping in her phone and not abiding by the “6 feet “ rule or whatever. Finally gets in line and there are literally blue lines drawn out for people to space themselves but she’s breathing up another lady’s back, so the lady said something like..Excuse me, and kinda points to the line and says just trying to follow rules. Then from what I gather, the phone lady said something under her breath, then talked smack about the lady that just spoke to her to her friend on the phone. After the lady in front paid and left, the phone lady sarcastically is explaining the situation to the cashier who is all but about to quit his job. THAT WAS TO MY RIGHT!!! I look left, some older lady telling bagger how to bag for like 5 minutes finally the nagger says, “how bout you let me use my judgement for this”.. Its a stressful time out there. People are scared, uncertain about things and in some panic. Let’s take a deep breath and try to remember that we are in this together and the only way is teamwork. If you can do anything (from a distance or otherwise) to help someone, groceries, donations, ur time during this tough time, please do so. Have a great one my squawkers! 4

Moderators lethalweapon3 Posted March 25, 2020 Moderators Report Share Posted March 25, 2020 Wouldn't be mad at all if they just set the name to Dominique Wilkins Station, instead of having to change the signs every time a sponsor changes. https://www.ajc.com/news/local-govt--politics/marta-cuts-rail-bus-service-amid-coronavirus-outbreak/EMTHZ0S4qyM8ff7O8pJoPL/ Quote MARTA will temporarily close the Mercedes-Benz/State Farm Arena/GWCC rail station because of “extremely low ridership,” the agency said. Trains will not stop at the station beginning Monday, though MARTA workers will perform “deep cleaning, repair work, painting and other small projects” at the station while it’s closed. ~lw3 1

I don't know. This just rolls off the tongue for me: KG: "Hey Spud. Meet you at 8 at the Mercedes-Benz/State Farm Arena/GWCC rail station!" Spud: "Glad you can reach Marta from the sac! Mercedes-Benz/State Farm Arena/GWCC rail station it is." 1

Pat's Place and The Mediterranean Cafe did set up a pick up drive by thing I have heard. Think fast food drive thrus will always operate within the the curfew limits of course. Since they are both excellent feed ons will probably try that route.

TheNorthCydeRises
So I come home this evening and see my neighbor ( probably in her early-mid 60s ) and her grandson on her front porch. I get out of my car, call her name, and say "hey" to her. She normally screams my name back, because she's known me since I was a baby. No response from her. I kid you not . . . from about 40 yards away, all I could hear was her breathing extremely heavy. She wasn't hyperventilating. It was slow, constant heavy breathing. Her grandson is on the phone talking to someone, because he had to have the phone on speaker. I didn't know who he was talking to, but I had an idea. I had to gather up my garbage to take it to the Waste Management Center right quick before it closes ( I ain't paying for a trash service when I can do it myself ), and as I was pulling out of my driveway, I said, I hope she's OK. I dump the trash, and return home. As I took that final turn coming back home, sure enough, I see the local EMT and the Ambulance right in front of the house. No, she isn't the most healthy person in the world, but she was still active. She threw a hellafied cookout this summer for some of her friends her age, with some of that old school 70s music, alcohol and all. She's always been cool as hell. I hope she's OK.

These things always leave us wondering what to say. Do me a favor and keep me updated one way or another if you're able. Side note here, I'm the youngest of my siblings (a whole mess of them and they all live up north) and I keep calling my mother every few days with any excuse I can to check up on her and them. It becomes very real when its someone you know, someone you love. Here's hoping for some good news.
Moderators Popular Post lethalweapon3 Posted March 26, 2020 Moderators Popular Post Report Share Posted March 26, 2020 Hearts go out to all the folks who have been, are now, or will soon be jobless/furloughed during this rough patch. To a lesser extent, too, all the folks who have to go out in public, trying to hold back allergic coughs and sneezes as pollen season ratchets up. I'm right with @thecampster, as it's a heightened age of anxiety for our elder neighbors and loved ones. Use technology and calls as you can to check in on them a bit more frequently, and help keep their spirits on an even keel. ~lw3

Nice to see someone step up. It'd be nice if the real billionaires put up some serious dough. 1
