Most like to bet sure things, I like to keep it interesting by going out on a limb. Otherwise where’s the eggcitement?

Props to Hazer for being a trailblazer. If Coop takes over #2, it means he's just a step behind Trae and we're scaring the hell out of everyone. Dare to dream.

Trae will be benched for the last 6-7 minutes in a close game versus a contending team and we win.

Ain’t nothing happening at the trade deadline.

Someone other than Trae will win a POTM.  Prolly Bogi.

If that happens we had to have had one hell of a month.

Technically it only means Coop is just a step ahead of Delon Wright 😬

1. Trae will be a MVP candidate.

2. Hawks will be 1st overall in the NBA but I don't know if that will help them in terms of where they finish.

3. Bogi will join Trae at the All Star game.

Things to look into:

1. Cam's development

2. Dre's health for the entire season.

3. Can our bench be the best in the NBA, I think so.

Does this mean you think they'll finish with the best regular season record, but may not live up to that seeding in the playoffs?

1. Jalen Johnson will end up playing about 50-60 regular season games with the big team.

2. Sharife Cooper will end up playing about 25-30 regular season games with the big team.

3. For the first time ever as ATL GM, Travis Schlenk will make no in-season trades.

Didn't we not make any trades during Trae's rookie year? I remember that we bought out some of the veterans on that team (Jeremy Lin comes to mind off the top of my head), and ended up trading Bazemore away that offseason.

Yeah, I don't understand that one -- supes either thinks we're winning it all no matter what or we're not going to exit in the 2nd round lol

I mean, if it's what I think it is, it's a prediction I agree with. The Hawks' depth makes them a good bet to do well in the regular season (which I think will still have more players missing games than usual because of health/safety protocols, etc). But depth is less important when rotations shorten in the playoffs.

I have a hunch this is going to either be an easy stunning win or down-in-flames colossal loss, no in between. Coop will either live up to my expectations and shred everyone on his way to #2, or flop out.

Love it!

Can I suggest one clarification so that we make sure everyone is on the same page?  What do you guys mean when you say that Coop will be the #2 point guard by the All-Star break?

Is there a certain number of games that this has to happen?  (Like if Wright comes into games first and averages 20 mpg to Coop's 7 mpg for the first 40 games but Coop plays 17 mpg and comes in as an immediate substitute for Trae the last two games before the break is that enough?)  Are we talking #2 means that Coop subs in first for Trae when Trae comes out or that Coop averages more minutes than Wright or something else, etc.?

Or you guys can feel free to ignore me and say "it's like pornography - we'll know it when we see it and we'll see it the same way."  😄

I’m riding with Bird 62% to Haze’s 38%. If we were a middle of the pack team I might raise percentages to favor Coop coming in, since we are elite in the East it’s gonna mean Coop having to make crazy strides.

I’m gonna go with Wright being the backup to Trae because of our expectations as a team, it’s really hard to see Coop taking the backup reigns in year one.

May the best Squawker win! 🤝

Yes. 😆

You're braver than me--Delon and Lou bang knees in practice three days before the break and you could have a pooping elephant as your avatar for awhile 😬

I’m confused as to who I’m rooting for here. I think again if things are going well and we are on our way to 50-60 wins it’s Delon. I could be wrong though. Young kids with confidence like Coop don’t have a ceiling and are able to perform right away sometimes. :indifferent:
