This Game was one we didn't switch and guys fought thru screens and you saw the difference- at least until the 4th quarter.

To reiterate this point...stop switching on the perimter, it makes Clint less successful defending the paint.

In general i think the refs in the nba don't do a good job because the oversight from the league is not clear.  Or in some ways it is clear that the league still doesn't want certain things called whether it's a foul or not.   

But this PHX game man was egregious.  There was some whistle swallowing that seemed deliberate.

I can maybe talk myself into believing a ref could miss the egregious foul on JC because he is too focused on the ball but that CP3 series of fouls on Hunter can only be one of two things:

(1) Gross incompetence

(2) Deliberate

Both of these are just terrible sequences for these refs.  The cry baby thing pushes you a bit towards the latter of those two scenarios which is a bad thing for integrity of the game.

This brings up the question, are the Hawks sacrificing wins like the bucks last year to get better at the switching defense?  It really helped the Bucks during the playoffs.  We may have to take our bumps with it up front, but there may be a big payoff in the playoffs.

Idk that we really have the personnel for it.  Capela and Trae become pretty big liabilities in a lot of situations if we're switching everything.

Just saying it may explain why Nate is switching.  They need to get better at it and communicating while doing it.
