Marco and I got there, together, in the end.  Both of our combined mistakes equaled excellence ultimately.  We should at least get a free breakfast at Waffle House don't you think?

But how does Hunter compare to Mikal?

Mikal is more available and has been better at this point which is why the actual value is about $2.75 less.

When you look at percentage of salary cap it's actually a larger dip.

You are only looking at raw numbers.

Mikal was about $91,000,000 - AAV $22.75MM vs $20MM.

Win Shares through 3 years:

Mikal Bridges 15.7

DeAndre Hunter 2.9

year 4:

Bridges 8.9 WS

Hunter TBD

Anyone willing to bet on Hunter earning 2/3 as many WS as Bridges did  last year?  I’ll even skew the payoff to entice bets.

1 month control of your avatar if Hunter is 6 WS or less

2 month control of my avatar if Hunter is more than 6 WS (6.001, etc)

I’ll be rooting for Hunter either way but I see a pretty big gap between the two right now.

We are talking contract here. I'm saying hunter AAV of $20MM with the salary cap increase is a reasonable contract. I also added the caveat he needed to stay healthy and play solid defense.

There's no way he's signing a 5 year $75 million contract.  If he does, I'll jump for joy.  5 years $100 million is what he's probably looking for.

Nah, just flow with it.  None of us know if you listened or not.  Just toss some rumors out and cite "sources".  Shiiiii, that's what BSPN does.

The tweet writes itself....

"According to ....... sources with knowledge of Collins' way of thinking, JC wants Young traded and says he and Westbrick chase triple-doubles."

Hawks still aren't a very physical team. Who have they added. Frank Kaminski, the Holiday Brothers, the two draft picks ? I don't think so. Also have we replaced the shooting we lost in Heurter and Gallo? Right now the front line of Capela, Hunter and Collins haven't reached the level of play needed to win a championship. This front line along with Kaminski just doesn't strike fear in the hearts of many NBA teams. Teams will still try to intimidate the Hawks physically. Team is full of finesse, skill ballayers.

Not sure if anyone posted this but odds on the southeast for next year thus far.

@kg01 I think we are better than your BIL squad. I might throw a few shekels on this puppy 🐶

Pays 💰 out at +190 which is not bad. Basically every hunny gets you ✌️.

We have the best player between the two squads. Ya, Jimi ain’t it.

You just vent posted and contradicted yourself:

1. You said we aren’t physical, but complained about losing 2 of the softest players from last season’s lineup. So we are now softer even after replacing softies (Kev, Gallo) with non-softies (Murray, JJ, and more minutes from OO)?

2. Have we replaced the shooting of Kev and Gallo?

Kev shot about 39%

Gallo shot 38% last year.

This year we added:

A. Holiday: 38% last season, 373% career

J. Holiday: 36.7% last season, 365% career

Griffin: 45% as a college freshman

Martin: 43% as a college senior

You tell me? Is this not more than serviceable compared to what we lost?

3. Murray, Dre, OO, Clint and Harkless are not finesse players by any means. JC, AHoliday, JHoliday, and JJ, are not as physical but I wouldn’t call them finesse or label them as just being “skill guys”. Kaminsky is a legit 7 footer with solid weight on him, he is no pushover either.

Overall, We got tougher, especially on defense, and we only lost about  0.1 %  on 3pt shooting from the projected role players. I think we are ok all things considered.
