Why on earth would we trade for Lillard and give Trae PLUS parts when Trae is already better.

Still not enough for Dame. Hawks gotta throw in Hunter, OO, AJ, Bey, and Capela too

Landry's interview today about our young guys was eye opening. He pretty much acknowledged moving them for more playing time on another team is better for them and for us.

He's already making an excuse for him caving in negotiations. I hate this.

Is this not just as embarrassing for us as it is for Toronto?

They’re the girl who is holding out for someone better to ask her to prom.

We’re the guy who already asked her and are waiting for her to weigh her options before she says yes.

I just hope all our eggs aren’t in one basket.

It would be embarrassing for us if we overpay for Siakam or Kat.

Holding out knowing Toronto doesn't want to extend Pascal is good business, nothing like prom at all cause the prize is an all-nba player who probably isn't gonna leave vs a date who doesn't like you and will be gone in a few hours.

The JC TPE isn't a waste either even if we don't get one of these targets, not hitting that 2nd apron and leaving ourselves options in the future is a W if you widen your perspective past what our starting lineup looks like at the start of the season.

There are going to be options available at the trade deadline like there are every year

Patience is a virtue in the FO, Toronto isn't going anywhere and if Indiana/Orlando wanna overpay for a year of P they can go ahead.

It isn't likely though so it's good Landry is playing it smart and tight.

I dont understand this comment — do you want us to offer a package they cant refuse?  The metaphor makes no sense lol

WHAT IF ATLANTA MAKES NO MORE MOVES??

A- Hawks would be worse than last season with no JC.

B- Hawks would still be a .500 club next season.

C- Hawks would be better with the new players we have + Quin and all his new assistants..

There needs to be a ( D - Hawks are a top 4 seed in the East. )

If we add Siakam, that's what my choice would be.

Just settling to be better, means that we could be 44 - 38 . . . which is not really any better than 41 - 41.

I mean we're kinda past that stage of embarrassment.

We tried to get KD and the Nets used us to get a better deal from Phoenix. (At least that's how I will always remember it)

We kept JC way too long, hoping he would improve and we could get better assets and had to trade him for peanuts.

We're still coming out of this looking better than the Knicks who always get used for better trades. That's all that counts.
