The cavs just have some AMAZING shooters on that team.

When you can catch the ball and,it seems like its in the air  FASTER THAN YOU CAN BLINK,  nothing you can do about that.  These guys dont even look at the hoop sometimes. JUST CATCH AND,SHOOT.

This year they got their WHOLE SQUAD TOO.   moe williams, james jones, richard jefferson, mozgov.they just have a lot of PLAYERS.

DUDES KNOW THEY GOT A CHANCE OF GETTING A RING,IF THEY PLAYING WITH LEBRON.  last year was injuries and,now they kinda healthy.

yall lose to this team, it aint no disgrace, cause they may be the champions THEY WENT 6 GAMES LAST YEAR WITH BACKUPS IN KEY ROLES,IN THE FINALS.  And,may have won,but injuries and,too many minutes, cause the bench was short.

Look here,i dont think the hawks are a bad team. Its just that THE CAVS ARE VERY,VERY DEEP AND,TALENTED. AND THEY GOT A BIG THREE FOR REAL.    And kyrie aint went videogame YET THIS SERIES.

THE HAWKS  SHOULD STILL BE WORTHY OF YOURE SUPPORT,COME ON NOW.

But thats a tough hill for any team to climb yall.

By the way, lebron did the same thing to my KNICKS FOR YEARS.   And,i really wasnt happy.

funny, work brings me here to cleveland ohio.   then couple years later here come J.R.  and SHUMP.  And,they play a lot more loose here or something.sometimes it was like going thru the motions at the garden.   IM RAMBLING HERE,just saying i was there but now i gotta just hand it to lebron. HE IS JUST A WINNER.WITH A TAlented team he can advance. then he can carry a pretty average team himself. amazing dude.

1st Stat of the night:  Al Horford -:1 glorious  rebound.

2nd Stat of the night: Hawks had 84 shot attempts, Cavs had 85. Cleveland had 18 OFFENSIVE rebounds.

3rd Stat of the Night:  Rebounds 55 Cavs. Hawks  28 - they missed doubling us up in rebounding by 1 rebound. (Al's 1 rebound saved us from that happening)

4th Stat of the Stat:  Cavs  16 freethrows MADE to 12 ATTEMPTED By Hawks.

5th Stat of the night: 27 points  for Channing  Frye, really? What'd  you mean you weren't  prepared  for Frye and Love playing together.

I liked starting Thabo, I liked playing Hump - where were they in the 4th.

These Scoreless 5 minute droughts  happen every game - recipe for losing.

We went away from what was working early: decent  defense and working the ball inside to sloppy no defense to launching 3s. We tried winning with  offense instead  of defense.  As usual tight  sphincters with a tight game.

Bud, Bud, Bud, Bud, Bud.....stop out thinking yourself, more Hump and Thabo.

Finally - we're  just not GOOD enough.

Teague, Thabo and Humph played pretty well (our big three,Ha). Jaybird was right on about Thabo being on the court whenever J.R. was. Bud made that adjustment and J.R. shot hardly at all. When the Cavs start rolling like that it's kinda scary. Jeepers.

It is really going to be interesting to see if the  Cavs can keep shooting threes anywhere near the rate they are in this series.  I say they won't because they just have some extra level of confidence and belief against the Hawks.  I can't wait to see the Cavs fans get to see Lebron lose to the Warriors again.  The best part of this series being over is not having to see Tristan Thompson  squishing that mouthpiece in and out continuously anymore.   Cleveland won't ever get their championship with Lebron and he will ease off somewhere else.

I think you write sentences about the same level Lebron does.  I didn't come on here to listen to somebody praise  the "King of Elbows."

So Bud has become  like our PGs of the regular season in that he is very up and down. Hump did well but Bud stopped using him late. Is this the same coach we had last year during the regular season? Posters talk about his being stubborn a lot. He does develop players well but there is seems to be a ceiling on his coaching. Of course the Cavs shooting has a lot to do with that right now.

trout7,you are 1 bitter frustrated dude.   dude,if you play, you either win or,LOSE.   Shake it off bro.  im giving the hawks props dude.

for years,we had jordan, holding us down. AND I WANTED PATRICK EWING TO WIN A TITLE SO BAD. WASNT MEANT TO BE.  Pat is such a good dude, that hurt. but the bulls were just better.   then after that EVERY SUPERSTAR, wanted to come to the garden and,DROP 50.

that became the thing to do.  i understand the frustration.

The Cavs do just seem comfortable against us. Still, our minutes  distribution  burned us again in the end.

"We're a team that's destined for greatness," James said.

Like salt in our open wound. They can make us look really bad even with us having our best game of the series. Closing out is not our thing. Hope we take a least the next game with a strong 48 minutes.

Playing in the East and against  the likes of Pistons  and Hawks  does that. Wait until he goes out West.

Yeah you're right about the frustration, you can't imagine the time i have put in over the years on these Atlanta teams going all the way back to being a 12 year old sitting in the cold Atlanta Fulton County Stadium, and seeing the cowboys come from 14 down late in 4th quarter in playoffs to break my heart.  I've been sticking with all the teams all these years and sometimes these frustrations just come out.  I let myself get sucked into believing in teams over and over when i know better.  Good luck to you bud.

For what it's worth...

Had the Hawks snatched the 3 seed away from the Heat, there's a good chance they would've been playing in the ECF.  Most teams struggle to put up points on the Hawks D.

Gonna have to play the Cavs sooner or later...Might as well get it over with...

Admitted Cavs fan, but not here to troll. Just an outsider perspective.

I don't really hate teams in the East, except for Detroit and Washington. I hate Detroit because it's Detroit and can't stand Washington because they have some really misguided fans who talk a lot of smack. Even Miami doesn't bother me, so when it comes to Atlanta, I just view you guys as a decent team in the East, but not really an insurmountable obstacle. I expect the Cavs to beat the Hawks 8 out of 10 times, even though history has so far proven better than that.

The Hawks struggle right now eerily reminds of the Cavs struggles against the Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton Pistons. I hated that starting five. If Billups wasn't tearing us up, it would be Rip Hamilton or Tayshaun Prince with a dagger 3 or Ben Wallace grabbing every free rebound sort of like Tristan Thompson has been currently doing. I hated watching Rasheed Wallace's antics after he would make a tough shot, much like I'm sure you guys are annoyed by JR Smith.

I just don't understand the clamoring for Marvin Williams or DeMarre Carroll. Whoever said that earlier in this thread that those guys are a half solution, you are 110% correct. This is a star driven league. Horford isn't what it seems he used to be. He has severely regressed. I think Millsap still has some great basketball left in him. Teague is an outstanding PG; he should be considered an untouchable. Humphries has heart, I will give him that. But let's be serious, in an ideal situation he should be like the 3rd or 4th guy off the bench. Hawks could use a little more depth. I feel like the only decent sub(s) you guys have are Thabo/Korver. I think Schröder will become more formidable with time.

Korver last night was finally put where he belonged for the longest time: off the bench. An aging player with a history of recent injury out on the court trying to stop the athleticism of JR Smith? Korver's prime is over, he is what he is now, a specialist off the bench.  Nothing against Korver, it's just not his time anymore.

I have visited Atlanta several times. For such a cool city, I feel like it gets the vibe of a mid-market city when it comes to the NBA. That shouldn't be the case at all. I don't understand why a FA wouldn't want to come to Atlanta unless he didn't like the current roster or leadership. If Greg Monroe can go to Milwaukee, anything is possible. Money still talks, but I guess that's up to how your ownership feels.

You guys should be pining for players like Kevin Durant. Might not get him, but I think that's what Atlanta needs to be pursuing. Not this Carroll or Williams crap. That's going to keep you guys a 2nd/3rd seed at best in a weak East. Package Horford somehow. Keep Teague and Millsap. Or just commit to a full rebuild. Minnesota is a positive example. I know you guys love Kent Bazemore, but he's not a starting 2 or 3 on a championship team. I've been there, I had the same feelings for Ira Newble and Sasha Pavlovic back in the day. I also wanted to believe that Alonzo Gee was our SG/SF of the future when LeBron left.

I'm sure the Cavs will wrap this up Sunday and a painful offseason will begin. I'd offer more condolences, but I had to watch the '95 World Series as a kid and get my heart taken out of me. So I don't mind this sweep.

I didn't have any delusions of winning the game.  I just enjoyed Bud finally pulling his head out his ass and playing Hump a month too late.  Benching Kyle was a few months late but who's keeping track.

I'm an NBA fan first, I'm enjoying JR Smith transform his game more than watching the Hawks.  He went from a dumb chucker to the model modern NBA wing: shooting 50 from three and locking down.

The Hawks are playing like hoes, but I can't take nothing away from the Cavs.  They can adapt on the fly and the chemistry is much better than last year.  Kyrie and Love got their minds right and realized how embarrassing it is to have minutes taken by Mozgov and Delly due to defense.  All they have to do is show effort and Lue will run them until they take themselves out.

1. Durant is the obvious choice for EVERY fan on this site.

2. Horford is much better than the common fan give him credit because most of you have no clue about the intricacies of the game. You guys tend to ball watch is what I've learned about the average NBA fan.

3. When I mention Marvin and Carroll, it's clear that are NOT the answer to winning this series and are not intended to be. But to sit here and say they wouldn't bring more value is stupidity at it's finest. Marvin is a 6'9 wing who can defend the paint, perimeter, he could move off the ball well and can shoot from three well. Carroll could defend 3/4 and he moved off the ball exceptionally well while maintaining his composure. Considering how much better our bench is this year than last, to act like we wouldn't have won a game or two and probably would have been a #1 or #2 seed instead of a #4 is a massive difference. Once again, if you don't watch the games or don't understand the games, you will say shit like, "well, what could this role player do to stop LeBron James?" It is not about stopping him. It's about collectively making Cleveland work on offense. Something Bazemore struggles to do which Marvin and Carroll did a much better job of as they were tweeners and if you know anything about our system. Tweeners fit our system as we are a ball movement based team with a high regard to player movement. They have size and lateral movement ability and they have exceptional BBIQ for wings. To say they wouldn't make a difference is hogwash.

4. I rather you keep your opinion to yourself honestly and just be proud you have your first truly exceptional team. This isn't just LeBron like usual with Cleveland. This is actually a special squad and Ty Lue is a huge reason. Congrats on that, may you guys enjoy the Finals and bring a chip to "The Land".
