Moderators Popular Post AHF Posted July 31, 2019 Author Moderators Popular Post Report Share Posted July 31, 2019 In between walking the red carpet and attending the festival in Cannes, France, Ashley manages to squeeze in a little time for some scouting and she has found quite the upside opportunity for us in the 13th round of the Squawk Dynasty Draft this year. We step up to the stage thrilled to get a chance at one of the people I most wanted to see the Hawks draft this year when we had picks 8 and 10. This is a pick for the future because, while we think he has elite upside, we don't have big expectations for the 2019-20 season. This young man makes an interesting contrast with Brandon Clarke and a number of other young forwards given his likely future as an NBA 3 or 4. First off, he is more than 5 years younger which we think bodes well for his future development. Had he been a week younger, he would have been ineligible for this year's draft and we think a top 5 pick in 2020. His last reported measurements put him at 6'10'', 220 pounds with an impressive 8'11'' standing reach. As he continues to mature, we think he will emerge as a very long, athletic forward with a strong frame. He is an explosive athlete with exceptional speed for his size which should make him a very dangerous running mate with the talented Mr. Fox sometime in the future. Similar to Hunter, Sekou is projected to have the ability to defend the 1-4 when he enters his prime and that kind of defensive versatility is prized by teams around the league. Like Luka, he has been playing against grown men in their 20's and 30's for the last couple years which we think will end up accelerating his growth curve. He has shown a legit 3pt shot in terms of form and touch but isn't consistent with that form and has only had mediocre results to date (34% this year). His projected NBA 3pt% is 35% which seems like a good baseline for a young man his size. Again, he is only 18 so we think that development will come. We view him as a poor man's Giannis which is to say that we think he has the potential to be an All-NBA defender and to grow into a dynamic option on offense when he learns to really integrate his speed and his size. He was his pro league's best young player this year and was the youngest player at the 2016 FIBA U18 European Championships where he averaged 18 and 7 and led France to the Gold Medal. With the 127th pick, we are excited to draft: Welcome to the U-Niques, Mr. Doumbouya! @LucastheThird is on the clock

Spud2nique
Tough physical two way up and coming player in the NBA. He has excellent size at 6’4”212 SG that is ready to burst onto the scene after a full NBA season under his belt with averages of 7.7 points, 2.9 boards and 1.2 dimes in 23.7 minutes while appearing in 74 games. Good character kid with a high motor. Doesn’t mind throwing his body around. We think he will do well on our team playing behind Luka and Smart and the two and possibly play some spot minutes behind Tatum and Supe(r)’s duper Code Cam! Two years of college ball at Georgia Tech and my main man kg’s main man from Lagos, Nigeria . Without further adieu, With the 130th pick in the Squawk Dynasty Draft, the Spudsters select: JOSH OKOGIE SG Edited August 1, 2019 by Spud2nique
Spud2nique
The Spudsters need some protection of the paint ! If it gets physical, we want another spud, sorry stud to get in there and mix it up with his buddies Capela, Sabonis, and Zion. Looking for someone with good lateral quickness and the ability to protect the paint in case Luka decides to get lazy on a couple of plays and gets beaten off the dribble by his man. We need size and speed at the backup center/pf spot and someone who is willing to work and add pieces to his game each offseason. GM Spud doesn’t mind a guy that’s fiery with a chip on his shoulder either, somebody who will get in the face of a Draymond Green and tell him to shut his trap and worry about his own business while competing hard against him and guys like him. Lets get this thing rolling, With the 131st pick in the Squawk Dynasty Draft, the Spudsters select: ZACH COLLINS C 7’0 235 pound ps Sabonis and Collins will be roommates on road trips due to the Zags connection! Lw3’s building the east coast chemistry 🧪 love while I’m Pacific Northwesting a good ☝! PG- Morant/Huerter SG- Luka/Smart/Okogie SF- Tatum/Ingram/Cam PF- Zion/Sabonis/Samanic C- Capela/Zach Collins Coach: Lloyd Pierce @JayBirdHawk You are back at it!
