Some of the criticisms might be valid. But what he fails to mention is that we didn't have a lot of options. It's not like a marquee guy was coming here that we could have saved the cap space for.

There was no marquee guy coming here at a position of need (C) that fit that well to the Hawks timeline were they to keep the young nucleus together.   There is no way the Hawks should grade any lower than the Rockets.  The Rockets were given a good grade given their situation, the Hawks were given a bad grade where the teacher deserves the F, not the student.

We traded Len who is almost always injured, Parker is trying to come back from injury and if he plays well opts out (if he doesn't play well do we really want him back anyway), Turner just doesn't give a damn, a mid first rounder and a second rounder traded for an active center who knows the system with a contract controlled by us and an injured center who is the best of all players involved with a contract controlled by us along with two second rounders. Ten to one Skal is absolutely free of charge for us (no risk there). Doesn't sound like a D to me.
