During draft night all Luka said was.. ”I just want to play basketball.” Apparently he’s done a little more than that. @kg01 Luka does Dallas! Debbie takes a break.

That could easily be us caught up in unnecessary offseason drama instead of being on the cusp of the ECF.

I imagine the only thing holding that up is his contract. Rumor is he wants out. 3

Saves them around 9 million a year which isn't a ton, and you are getting an over the hill Horford and a rotational piece while losing your first rounder. Not sure I see this as a win for the Celtics unless there's something bigger picture here that I'm missing. Are they looking at making a run at Kawhi or something? The fact that they are giving OKC the 16th pick AND a future 2nd reveals a lot. Kemba is a shell of his former self right now, and to get rid of that contract, they had to give up some assets. Danny Ainge would have probably ate his salary rather than giving up a draft pick.

They also got an intriguing prospect in Moses Brown. He's got good potential.

I've always been squarely in the Kemba is overrated camp, but feels like the Celts are selling low on him.
dalamchops
horford is a good fit for the Cs, good role piece that doens't need the ball in his hand. there's just not enough possessions to go around with kemba/brown/tatum, none who are known to be willing passers

NBASupes
I am happy for Al but this makes Boston tough to beat again. Kemba wasn't awful for them but his consistency was bad. Boston is still a PG away.
