Called this early at the start of last season - Nate and his antiquated system, smh!

Dead last in 3 pt rate.  26th in FT rate.  19th in eFG%.

It's amazing that this team even finished at .500

And also, look how many games we actually blew, despite these numbers.

Thru 5 preseason games:

JJ - 57% (4-7)

Bey - 45% (5-11)

OO - 38% (5-13)

DJ - 35% (6-17)

Trae - 34% (9-26)

Bogi - 31% (5-16)

AJ - 26% (6-23)

Hunter - 25% (1-4)

Kobe - 18% (4-22)

Patty/Wes - 11 % (1-9)

Disappointed in Trae. Yeah, I know it's preseason and he has the ability to shoot closer to 38-39% but I was hoping with Q putting an emphasis on 3pt shooting that he would come back dialed in. After last year it's no given to me that he'll just flip a switch and shoot better.

Really like JJ and OO shooting well, even on small volume.

These are his 7 shot attempts from last game. He's not set and squared for most.

AJ - 45.5% (5-11)

DJ - 41.8% (23-55)

Biggest rise - DJ: +8.5% (16-34 over the last 4 games 🔥)

Biggest fall - Hunter:  -7.4% (4-18 over the last 4 games).

Slight upwards ticks for JJ and Trae, downwards for Bogi, Bey and AJ.

psh this is Trent Forrest level creation...Am I right @benhillboy?

DJ and Bogi are shooting higher than that overall on threes and it’s only .015% higher for Sadiq.  AJ doesn’t play.  What’s your point?  A creative coach finds minutes for a combo guard with Trent’s size (that he severely lacks in his starting duo) and career 2.26:1 assist to turnover ratio.

Historically having one player assume the lion’s share of team assists isn’t a proven, prudent philosophy unless you’re Magic or Jokic.  I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you know Trae isn’t comparable to either.

@SalvorMallow Between Isiah winning his last championship 33 years ago and Jokic winning his first, the highest career assist per game average for a Finals MVP is 7 by LeBron.  Again, a player I would hope you wouldn’t dream of comparing Trae to.

Most finals MVPs are the top scorers for their team and most top scorers are not top assist guys.  Makes sense.
