Discussion about Hunter and Trae (split off from insider thread)

When you go to bed, only to wake up and see 3 pages of rants and @NBASupes getting all up in his feels.

this is all hypothetical... you know why miami has made it to two finals... a couple injuries broke their way and they are the best coached team in the league. Put nate mcmillain bum self on that team they getting bounced round 1 like majority of years nate is the coach...

If we had luka we probably beat the bucks thats it but who knows if we don't beat them without trae getting hurt. Hypothetical takes are dumb

Average ticket price $100.  If acquiring player x = 3,000 more tickets sold per game for 41 games = $12,300,000 in revenue + concessions, merchandise, local tv revenue, parking. First and foremost its a business. This is exactly how teams think.

It's going to continue. It's a lot easier to play in a system that's a system. Where the ball moves. Where players move. Where defensively, you aren't carrying dead f***ing weight. I hate when people talk shit with the idea of benefitting the guy who's the problem in the first place. 

 

Man talking about kevin huerter like he did anything in the playoffs. Wide open threes left and right bricked them all. 9 PPG on 34% FROM THE FIELD 30% FROM 3. Yup thats why sac is where they are currently.... not sabonis and fox being a great duo. Must be trae fault kevin couldn't thit shots in the playoffs too right. If they had any other player out there they would have whooped the warriors but kevin is a specialist and unplayable in the playoffs

To be fair, the playoffs are as much about rest as anything else.  The players are beat up, legs spent those last few weeks of the season. They're also dealing with the flu, spring allergies, any litany of things come April/May.  Positioning yourself with 3 games left where your playoff positioning is set is more important than anything else.  The extra play in game hurt the Hawks terribly where for some crazy reason it helped Miami...helped them get motivated.

Rest heading into the playoffs and a 1st round sweep > pretty much everything come playoff time. After round 1 I called Denver to win it all, basically I didn't see any team playing well enough in Denver (altitude) to last an entire series.  Miami won a game there but it took a toll on their bodies.

Ya'll always blaming everyone but Trae. It's not that Nate don't deserve some blame but it's a religion on here that we must sacrifice everyone on the alter of Saint Traeus.

I am done on this topic in this thread till @AHF moves the Dre/Trae post into this own offseason chatter thread where we can continue this. As of right now, this is an insiders thread and we are talking about non-insiders topics. No point in doing so. If you got questions for me, just wait till it's moved. I won't be responding.

Today is actual the first time it has ever appeared based off Hawksquawk search.  Two previous mentions of histrionic.  Once in a 2012 in a lw3 game thread.  The second time was by me when this exact debate and rant was going on.

The math doesn't agree with you either. 3+5=8.  There are 82 games in a season.  Simple observation implies at least 30 wins, based on 80 games, perhaps 31 based on rounding with the 2 additional games.

3+6=9  9/82= .101   3/.101 = 29....you're both wrong.

 

Yay now I got to make people feel dumb....okay all better now.

 

FYI 29 is still 12 less than 41.  But since Trae was out 9 games and we were 38/35 when he played that means if he's played every game we would have been 42.7 and 40.3.....so technically a 13.7 game difference between Trae/noTrae....however the sample size is too small to draw any real conclusions.

I was calculating off the information presented; 3 wins, 5 losses.  However I am using my tablet, which has very small print. Did I misread a 6 as a 5?
