The summer league announcer kept saying 6’7 when talking about Hunter and even after the LP interview where LP said 6’8 when speaking about Hunter, the SL announcer kept going back to 6’7 regarding hunter. if Hunter truly is 6’7 there’s something irregular about him then! like an above average neck or head size cause Hunter look like he could be pushing close to 6’9 easily to me

Bigs wasn't expected to shoot 3s but knock down mid range jumpers and show a shooting touch and they were expected to defend the paint. Horford was a tremendous prospect and would be a top 5 pick in this draft. Let's not confuse that. It seems like Horford all around game, elite feel for the game, speed for position, agility and elite BBIQ always gets missed my Hawks supporters for some reason You know that I’m not Al’s biggest supporter and I still have to agree.

Only thing I'd add is that a lot of us don't miss these aspects of Al's game and think he was the either the best player on our team or the second best narrowly behind Joe while he was here. For me, he was the best and would be a perfect #3 on a championship team. And he would have easily been a top 5 pick. IMO, he would have gone #2, #3 or #4 this year. Popular Post Gray Mule
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRUNO FERNANDO !! 08\15\98 - AGE 21 - TODAY! And, he's a big old boy. 6'10" with a 7'3" wing span and 237 pounds on a ready for NBA frame! We're told he's very athletic and that he's a quick learner. Hawks have three centers on their current roster. The other two "old men" are still in their mid 20's. Shorty Bruno is 2" shorter than the other 2 but he looks more of a "beast" than the others. All three will battle all season for the starting job. Some say the Atlanta Hawks are weak at center. I dare you to tell Bruno that he's our weak link to having a decent NBA team! Hawks are young and unlearned. But, we've brought back our mentor, VC, , and expect to stir up some dust before season's end We ain't done but we ain't dead either !! GO ATL HAWKS !

Popular Post Gray Mule
So much to learn. NBA is much different than what he's used to. Len is #1 center with Damian #2. Both are a couple of inches taller than Bruno. But he looks bigger bodied than the other two. Earlier in this post we read about Dedmon and Spellman but they are both gone. But three centers should be enough. We could still slip Collins over there for a few, if necessary. Enthusiasm ran high when this year's draft was over. Posters praised our GM for the picks. With no action going on until that soon to be pre season game, can we honestly look at our center for the upcoming season and not believe they can handle it? Will Bruno go play in the G league or is he here with the big boys to stay? I believe it will depend on how fast he learns to play NBA ball.
Gray Mule
Question: Does the brain thrust of the Atlanta Hawks believe in Bruno? Question: Do the posters on "The Squawk" believe in Bruno? Why or why not? 1
Premium Member Popular Post Vol4ever Posted September 7, 2019 Premium Member Popular Post Report Share Posted September 7, 2019 I'm taking a wait and see on Bruno. He has a NBA body. Can he play? I'm hopeful because he is athletic for his size and can get up and down the court.

Question: Do the posters on "The Squawk" believe in Bruno? Why or why not? I was the Squawk’s loudest advocate for drafting FerNAAAAAAndo with the 17th pick. Schlenk stated they had their sights on Bruno at 17th as well, and feels like they got a steal when he fell into the 30s. 7’3 wingspan, approaching 250lbs, major hops, quick learner, hard worker, good FT shooter, good shot blocker. Glad we snagged him, now we have to sit back and wait and see how he develops. Personally I think he’ll surpass Jones for the backup spot by the break. Certainly hope he eventually outplays Len for the starting job, but that’s a complete unknown at this point. Popular Post NBASupes
In 2k, Fernando is tremendous for me but he wants 16 million and I already signed AD so like Kev, Bruno will be a casualty. 1
