Nights that Trae goes iso-mode and is hitting those tough looks and it leads to a win like tonight, it all feels good. Nights when he's not hitting are those nights that folks are railing against the isolation heavy / hero ball esque sort of offense. I still don't like the long term prospects of relying on this sort of Trae performance to win games. I'll take tonight's win obviously. But there's a reason why the Hawks feel like a feast or famine team this season, because it seems they are totally reliant on Trae to facilitate everything. The only difference tonight was that he hit some tough 3 pointers down the stretch......

With that said, the defense they played in the 4th quarter today needs to be there for all 4 quarters. They wouldn't have had to rely on Trae heroics tonight if the first half defense was like the 4th quarter.

That only worked because the Bulls went small with DeRozan at the 4.
