There was a moment during the season.  If I'm correct, they were playing at home against Philadelphia.  There was a play in the backcourt with a little over a minute left in the game where Hunter stole the ball in the backcourt and passed it forward to Trae. If Trae could dunk, it would be a dunk by Trae.  99.99 percent of the players in the NBA who can dunk would have dunked the ball on this play because it was a huge momentum, open court, energy play to seal the game.  Trae did the best he could to make a very high jump layup.  Its like I could read his selfish mind. He was saying " I got to show the folks that I can touch the rim."   Sure enough, a few plays laters at the game buzzer, Trae runs to that very same basket and jumps up and hangs on the rim facing the front court.  He was saying to the fans " yes, I can reach the rim."   I know this guy.  He is PURELY about self.
