With the way Capela has been playing as of late I’m not sure I’d want Ayton if a Collins for Ayton trade would work….but hindsight is 20/20

 

if phx isn’t talking about moving Ayton in any Collins deal than I’m sure those discussions are going to die down pretty quickly.

The way they are wording it, it seems like this would be a Crowder for Collins swap.  That sounds like the desire is to get out of Collins contract.

Or Cam Johnson, Crowder, and salary filler. Cam Johnson would make a lot of sense.

So why in the hell would they put this story out. Shams seems to be abusing his relationship with John’s agents.

This is just dumb.  One 'preliminary' is a pointless word in this sentence.  Means nothing.

Second, we're to believe that PHX in interested and inquired about Collins but then isn't interested because of his contract?  Ok right.

PHX:  Hey Travis we're interested in JC what do you want for him

Travis:  Why don't you make me an offer

PHX:  we're not interested in him his contract is too much

John probably won't ever be able to shoot again with his finger no matter what he says. It makes sense for us to get away from him, especially with his contract. Crowder and Cam Johnson would drastically improve our roster construction by adding shooters at the 4.

Nope. The whole reason Crowder wants out is he doesn't wanna be behind Cam in the rotation. They will not be traded together.

Some day in the future John Collins will no longer be a Hawk.  It may happen soon.  It may be when he retires.  And it could be any time between the two dates.  When it happens, get excited.  Until it does happen, ho, hum.  Wake me when something happens....
