Watching Bufkin told me all I needed to know about him as a backup PG and the Hawks addressed it asap.

Bufkin made excellent passes yesterday Lmao. He’s 19 and was never gonna play meaningful minutes this szn lol. If you making judgements on a player off one sl game then you are just hoping for someone to fail…

They always wanted to get a vet ball handler and they got one

I expected a 3 for 1 deal to clean up the roster, but this certainly wasn't it.

Good pick up though. We needed a vet backup PG, he's as solid as they come on the floor and in the locker room.

Will see if he's sticking around or is yet a move to another move.

People were hopeful that Bufkin had the ability to carve out a role similar to how AJG cracked the rotation last year. There was no competition at BU PG to get in the way either.

It’s not an indictment on his career potential to conclude we needed a sure presence on the roster until he is ready for NBA minutes.

Mills has been traded three times in the past 10 days, beginning with Brooklyn to Houston, Houston to Oklahoma City and now on to Atlanta. His $6.8 million expiring contract fits into deals to make salaries match up, and Atlanta is still deciding whether he'll be a part of its preseason roster, sources said.

So does this mean they are still deciding if they want to keep him or not?

I would anticipate he is useful in a larger trade. Atlanta didn't have any decent size expiring contracts to use in a larger salary trade.

Woj wouldn't include that if he was "Atlanta's guy" or "Hawks DNA"

But then again they used Rudy Gay as an expiring to send out so maybe they like him in case a trade doesn't go through.
