Quin says keep shooting. 

He'll live with Trae taking shots, rather than forcing passes that leads to turnovers.  The quick 3s off the dribble with a man in his face, were not good shots.  With his ability to make FTs, you have to get in the paint and either look for contact, or pass it out to a teammate.

On the last play, he did exactly that.

22 pts + 12 asst - ( let's say 7 of those are 3 point assists + 5 two point assists ) . . 21 + 10 = 31 assist points.

22 + 31 = 53 created points

 

Tonight

41 points + 8 assists -  ( 5 assists were for 3 + 3 assists for 2 ) . . . 15 + 6 = 21 assist points

41 + 21 = 62 created points

 

Hawks lose by 7 tonight, if he goes for 22 and 12 . . . as opposed to 41 and 8

 

It is perfectly OK to embrace superstar level play from Trae.  Because when he plays like this, we normally win.

Our fans just don’t understand that Trae is a generational offensive talent and one of his best traits offensively is gravitational pull which he displays often. Trae is one of the few I’ve seen where teams double him due to his playmaking not even his scoring! 

You want the ball in Traes hands because he can make things happen. It’s just that you have to accept the hard shots or what some would refer to “hero shots” when it comes to superstar offensive talents, it’s not just Trae that takes tough shots offensively.

The late great Kobe Bean Bryant took all kind of difficult shots back to back to back …..sometimes it went in and sometimes it didn’t. Not comparing Trae to Black mamba just saying I hope our fans learn to take the good with the bad.

This kid is just giving us so much more than JC!….there’s no way fans can’t see this at this point.

While Jalen has plenty to speak about….what sticks out to me vs JC is that he can actually put the ball on the ground consistently and go get a tough bucket.

we just did not see Colin’s do that enough

Ive said this before and I’ll say it again, Trae is a blessing. How many years did we search for a point guard before and after the Mookie era, then we land a generational talent in Trae. #11
