A win is a win, but I hated this game. Aren't they allowed to play some D when playing abroad?

JJ has no BS in him. Somehow he reminds me of Paul Millsap. He's quickly becoming one of my favorite players, straight baller.

Tend to agree.  We played down to the competition.  I know ORL has had a good start, but we did not play with a consistent professional effort for 48 minutes and were lucky to come out with a win.  That said, I'm not gonna complain.  This could easily have been yet another confusing L .... but it wasn't.

I got no idea what TF Banchero was doing 90% of that game.  @Spud2nique Banchero or Suggs get my gumball for the night.  Just a buncha bonehead plays.  But thanks.

JJ continues to be a beast.  Sure wouldve been nice to see him have that lost year of development back.

NBA channel using the crap Orlando announcers made this not seem very 'national' at all.

I thought the channel might send their own team down for this one - and no Lauren in the studio. Boo. 

Hate that the NBA League Pass forces me to watch the home team broadcast when on the NBA channel.

In fairness to JC, that wasn't his game and wasn't in his skill set.  He has more of a traditional PF game.  Nothing wrong with that, but it didn't fit well with the scheme and personnel.

Pretty cool to win in Mexico City like that. These showcase games abroad the NBA definitely wants a good show and our boys delivered. Should mean good things when it comes to getting more marquee games.

I thought they made a great choice going with ORL announcers rather than our announcers.   I was shocked at how even they called the game compared to our homer fest.   Didn't hear the ORL analyst rip on our players shot selection the entire game unlike Nique who is constantly yelling bad shot whenever an opponent misses a shot even if it's a wide open uncontested 3.

Question:  Has Trae ever had a game where he dominated the first half scoring wise and then followed that up with even a good not great scoring second half?

 

 

I don't recall a single game that wasn't exactly like last night.  Dominant scoring first half followed by box score watching at half time followed by terrible shot selection and shooting in the second half.   That's him MO.

Was at the game with my pops, great atmosphere, the "home" team was Orlando but there was MANY Hawks fans at the game, which was pretty surprising to me. Saw jerseys for Steve Smith, Kyle Korver, Dikembe, and a plethora of Young Jerseys everywhere, curiously a lot had the old hideous "hawk feather" Jersey's from the Bud days. Feel after Young's first half pretty much he won over the neutral crowd, and by the end of the game most were cheering for the Hawks.  

Also something else I thought was pretty cool not sure if this was shown on the telecast: During one of the timeout segments they honored a few nba "Legends" that were in attendance and Nique got a very big and loud standing ovation.

Sounds like a great time!  Glad we had a Squawker in the house to cheer the team on to a very exciting win.  

Got to pull out some clutch wins like this over the course of the season.

Took us 2:30 hours to get to the stadium and once there the concessions were a ridiculous nightmare 50 min lines to get anything. But other than that, was pretty awesome. We made sure our section knew who to cheer for and by the end it felt like we were celebrating a win at the OMNI like old times.
