Horford and Millsap are already those STAR 2 or 3. It should be obvious how highly regarded Horford is around the NBA, with every team that has the cap space lining up to throw the max at him. And Sap is just as good of a player for us.

They have holes at both guard positions. I realize that. Which is why I said they can do it. Some think the Hawks can only sign Howard and that's it. The Hawks have tons of options. Most likely they will bring Al back at around 23 - 24 million over 5 years.

But I'm already looking beyond that, a year or 2 from now, D12 came here then we start contending then we get sit-downs with the STAR free agents. But the more I think about the more I get the feeling Dwight really going to go into next year with something to prove and ball out and potentially attract another star next year. I'm being optimistic for once :) He's been talking a good game and needs to execute on it. But yea, I'm optimistic he can be very good for the Hawks. Popular Post terrell
Now Can we bring Jamal Crawford back to close out games for us, and give us that punch off the bench?? Baze can go for all I care. We need a closer..

With the Dwight signing cemented the needs are as follows: starting SF (score, defend, close?) wing scorer off the bench backup PF (Humphries mold) backup PG
HawkItus
I love it. Gotta take risk to be great. We finally have a player that has been to the finals. Edited July 2, 2016 by HawkItus

Popular Post Admin
Well it's about damned time. I remember posting a picture of Dwight way back when he was in high school and he was wearing a Hawks shirt from working out with us. Wanted him on the Hawks ever since then and while I've sourced a few times with his comments I'm thrilled that he's on our team. I think he can still be a devastating 2 way player and Dennis is gonna beast with him on PnR alley oops. Now let's get Al back and locked up for 5 years.

AUhawksfan
I'm really hoping Bud and staff can get a good FT% out of Dwight. He's not the worst in the league but I don't want to play victim of hack-a-Dwight because it still is a liability. Time to try underhand? That above all is a major reason I think we need Al back. If we have to pull Dwight at the end of a close game, having a big body (Horford) in there is huge!

Seems like D12 and Drummond have been in a one on one battle for that low percentage from the line a good while. D12 shot less than 50 % this year.
