Premium Member Popular Post Wretch Posted July 2, 2016 Premium Member Popular Post Report Share Posted July 2, 2016 I soured on Dwight Howard a few years ago. He had become soft as butter, injury prone, and whiny. The cherry on the cake was how he dissed us... He was my most disliked player, below even Kevin Garnett...and that's saying a lot. Once I wrote him off, I never wanted him in a Hawks uni...and I wanted to see this team succeed with him watching on the sidelines, BURIED ON THE BENCH, somewhere out west... But he is an Atlanta Hawk now. And as per my custom, he has my full support. Welcome home Dwight. You're late. Now raise the f#ckin' colors and let's go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They can actually do a sign and trade now, but it's pretty silly to give up assets for a player you have enough cap space to sign. Unless Al is pressuring then to do it so he doesn't leave Atlanta high and dry. That would be really unusual though.

Dwight will be on a offense that is better than the one he played on in Orlando. He is going to have a chance to flourish once again!

I'm told?... I'm told CViv is a turd in a punch bowl. How in the heck can he suggest with a straight face that Bud just signed someone that would HURT our chances of resigned our top priority? Sigh... Also, this seems relevant today. Edited July 2, 2016 by RandomFan
pimp
Sometimes it's not who is better. Ask Manu and Iggy. When Pop and then Steve Kerr approached Manu and Iggy about coming off the bench it was about balancing the roster and having a better bench. turnermx, PSSSHHHRRR87 and Thomas like this Like this Quote Except, Those guys weren't the best players on their team at the time. Sap was an all-star and all defensive team player, and is a pending free agent. You really think he is interested in coming off the bench in a contract year. After he left the Jazz to get off the bench? I don't see that happening.
Popular Post NBASupes
C. Viv was on the radio yesterday saying Atlanta isn't serious with Dwight Howard. NBASupes
Once again, I shall remain ya'll http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/16584686/atlanta-hawks-want-get-involved-kevin-durant-sweepstakes Quote Sources say that one countermove Atlanta is weighing strongly is the free-agent pursuit of Atlanta native Dwight Howardto play alongside Horford in the frontcourt. Howard will become a free agent Friday after declining his $23 million player option next season with theHouston Rockets.

Korver benefits the most from this signing because we actually have a player that has to be doubled now. Horford will get open looks too. What this does is give us a option down low every play that teams will have to account for. And on defense and the boards, Horford, Sap, and Howard will be a brutal rotation to deal with.

He isn't all of a sudden going to change. Ask LA and Houston if a change of scenery was what he needed. He wore out his welcome on three different teams and to boot he can't even stay on the court. Like I said, I dont care what happened in LA or Houston..Look at JR Smith for example. He was the perfect team player in Cleveland. And he had a "track record" of being a "cancer" or whatnot.. Whos to say Howard cant do the same thing "all of a sudden"? We shall see. I still say it was a good move regardless..Its about time we took some chances around here...If it doesnt work out(winning a title), its not like we arent used to it...
