This team is done with. It's probably best to give up on them. They're done.

Wow after a tough loss against the most talented team in the league. That right here is ridiculous.

But: How is it possible Korver is playing the whole 4th Q with having no impact on the game except from turnovers and fouls? Don't tell me it's about spacing. We already showed we can win without his damn good spacing this year. It's horrendous to see Kyle getting the ball, isnt open, dribbles one time and then is standing around with the ball and doesnt know what to do for 5 seconds. That happens like 10 times a game.

Scott coming back could be huge for us if he can shoot a good percentage from three. That would give us one more option for spacing without Korver.

The starters simply don't fit. The bench came through

Actually this was (maybe the 1st time this season) the bench lost the game, when they allowed GS to take the lead at the start of the 4th qtr

Starters +/- from 0 to 4
Bench +/- from -6 to -9

Agreed, and the word ridiculous is being very polite. A team losing by five to GS on their court is definitely not done.

Don't forget it was on a back-to-back as well... This loss was encouraging to me. We controlled the game for the majority. Schröder had a great game. Howard quietly had a great game and wasn't asking for random post-ups. Tough to win against arguable the best team at their home in a back-to-back of a road trip.

Back to the future - - Again!

Final score = 105\100.  Hawks on the short end because

they missed 9 free throws.  Do the math.

Hawks got a small lead, then swapped buckets until late

in the game.  Then, they could and Atlanta couldn't.

Best game the Hawks has played in quiet some time but

a loss is a loss is a loss.

Hawks have been comatose.  Suddenly, last night, there was found

a faint heartbeat, giving us just a small spark of hope at the end of

a dark, long tunnel.

:ermm:

Still a loss, buuuuut....................

Despite his 5 turnovers, I applaud Dennis's effort tonight.  His defense was non stop. He played with tempo and pace.  He took it to Steph, GSW had to switch first Thompson then Iggy unto Dennis.  His decision making has to improve.

The start of the 4th quarter by the bench did us in - GSW 8-0 run, I think we had 3 consecutive turnovers.  The bench had a great 1st half, not so much in the 2nd half.

We had better offensive flow in general - quicker passes and more player movement

Our on ball and perimeter defense was actually better than it has been in weeks.

No reason for Kyle to play 30 minutes.

Someone tell Bazemore to stop dribbling - he can't.

Millsap looked alive this game compared to LAL game.

17 of 19 Turnovers by the starters - smh.

Left 9 points at the free throw line.

That's the thing about Baze, I don't care if he scores a lot.  If he averaged 7 points I'd be ok, as long as he was playing good defense, not forcing things, and taking what comes to him in the offense.  Bud needs to tell him to stop.

Iggy 2nd half was elite for a bench player.

@Spud2Nique, how was the game last night?  Someone in chat lamented the fact that you didn't streak onto the court to prove you're not a fatty.  It actually wasn't me this time.

Having him run out in a speedo would have proven the weight issue and his claims of being a competitive swimmer.  Win/Win/Lose?

Imo, the starting line-up actually is prone to excell in playoff type games like these vs the ones we had last years, if they can get it together and I think last night they showed for large parts that they can. It is a line-up with 4 spescialists that in theory should be able to be good at setting and adapting pace. The bench is playing much more like previous Hawks years, but they cant play in slown down game. We should have won and we would have if we had a little more production out of Korver and we didnt have such bad officiating again.

I would also like to hop on the bench Korver bandwagon, but I get what Bud wants from the Dennis/Baze/Korver/Howard line-up. If only one of the two wings could create some of the dribble....would mean less TO's for Dennis as well. And Dennis, plz work on some type of a hard-stop hookshot or something.

This team hasn't done anything in weeks. This team is poorly built and it needs roster changes. Bud will not even make a lineup change.

The starting lineup is very close to being one that can consistently work in games that are slowed down, there's one more change that needs to come.

It's not coincidental that they've looked better without Kyle even if they technically shouldn't, the game becomes much simpler without him, they just use simple offense to get open shots and not worry about setting up Kyle. When they worry about setting up for Kyle jumpers, they start thinking way too hard.
