Official Game Thread: Hawks at Jazz

Trae has been bad man.  Where is the energy? These mfs are young... Trae needs to drive and kick more to start the offense. Ball sticks on one side and late shot clock bad shot.

Huerter and Hunter are playing. Cam showed energy. Some from Capela and Goodwin. Everyone else mailed it in tonight.

They had a ton of rest yet look lethargic.

When Trae can't get his offense going, he is a liability for us on the court. He simply is not good enough defensively to make up for scoring slumps.

Teams are just going at him at will and screening him to death. He is dead in the water at that point.

Utah is killing us with guard play and on the glass. Our wings are eating though. We need to feed them.

If Trae is shooting bricks, hes just  a liability..

Honestly if he's anything less than going nuclear the team is going to struggle to beat good teams. Somehow he's got better players around him this year so it should be easier for him. But instead he sucks.

If he was just adequate we'd probably be in this game actually.

When he's missing shots I wish he would concentrate on his floor game. Set other guys up.

The game going way too fast for Okongwu

Thats why you take guards or wings in todays NBA when you have a top 10 pick imo..And I like Gwu. BIGs take more time to develop. If they develop at all...Young pg's already ballin out..

Onyeka with a total deer in the headlights face the entire time he was out there. Probably will be a little  (or not so little) while before he gets acclimated. Having no presason and summer league while rehabbing injury is going to be very tough for a rookie to overcome.

Running the offense tonight through Hunter and Huerter would be my adjustment.  Tell trae since his shot isn't going, to get in the paint and kick.

The lack of energy is most apparent on defense. Going under on every screens. Sure, Gobert is probably the best screen setter in the NBA but can't go under on all of em.

Show some balls and come out with some energy.

A) we need to hit some threes

B) Trae needs to be stuck in a corner on defense

C) Keeping their bigs (Gobert) off the glass needs to be a team effort.

D) Hunter, Huerter, Reddish. They have the advantage this game. Let then eat and eat. Play off of them tonight.

Yea give him some time to get into game shape. Huge talent jump and needs to adjust. He will be fine

Its his first basketball game in nearly a year. No summer league. No preseason. Let him get his feet wet a bit and shake off the rust. He will adjust to the speed.
