Wow. That is awful news. His coverage of the Hawks was part of the reason I fell in love with the NBA. He was one of my favorite sportswriters when he was here.

Just heard this on NBA Radio. Considering that he was only in his 40s really shows how lethal this disease can be. 

What's crazy is that this pandemic is 2x worse than it was last April, when everyone was freaking out.

That's just terrible to lose anyone much less a guy like him. And I still considered him as family even after he left the Hawks to go national. 

My condolences to his family. I don't even want to imagine what they're feeling right now.

This is a tragic loss.   He was one of the best Hawks Beat writers ever and was a young man to boot. Until this thing is eradicated,  Hawksquawkers, be safe.  Mask up.  Wash up.  COVID is real.

So sad to hear this.  Loved his work on the team and then on the greater NBA in more recent years.  Definitely felt a Hawks guy even afterward with his understanding and insight into the team.  His family and friends losing him in his 40's is just tragic.  

Echo everyone's message to take this serious and stay safe.  Mask up not just for yourself but for your community and loved ones.
