What ever is wrong with the Pacers isn't showing tonight.  I was afraid of Indiana.  61% shooting will leave most teams behind the 8 ball.  Hawks have no defense.  Points in the paint + the three ball and rebounding.

If Hawks don't make a drastic turn around, this game is history.

Braves won so Atlanta won't get completely shut out today.

Pacers aren't necessarily bombing away from 3. They're just getting anything they want in the paint.

So if dribble penetration is the problem in this game, how about putting in guys that can prevent that from happening?

 

This question has to be asked again.  What good is having a defensive specialist like Kris Dunn on the roster, if he's not going to play?

With Snell giving us nothing, I would start Dunn and see if he can slow down LeVert.

The fact that Nate inserted more offense into the game in the form of Huerter, tells me 2 things:

 

1) Dunn is either hurt, or Nate doesn't believe in his defensive abilities at all

or 

2) LP called him at halftime and told him to try Huerter ( who is shooting horribly this game )

Remember that defensive play by Trae, and the and 1 on the other end.  That's a 5 point swing right there that could've very well ended the game.

If we make a run here, that was the turning point.

Nate keeps calling timeout.

Put Dunn in and see what he can do.  

If not, just let them play it out, because you're obviously not telling them to do something different on defense.  And if you are, the group you have on the floor is incapable of playing the defense you want to play vs the Pacers.

Stick a fork in these Hawks. They are done.  Game over.  Another loss after a great game.  This is the Hawks in the playoffs as this is a preview of things to come.

Holding out hope we go on a run and Pacers go cold.  
 

Trae needs some confidence with his long distance shooting.
