Yes.  I don’t remember that one but, yes.  Most of the time he had no interest in even looking at the rim.  I’m guessing he did it with Boozer/ AK/ Deron Williams making it that much more amazing.

Man…that was frustrating to watch but a win is a win.  I like the scheduling here because I want to see how well we prepare for game two and how we can defend better next game, particularly the amount of open 3s we give up.  My takeaways:

• Capela played well.  Not perfect but I thought his presence is just noticeable on defense by the way guys try to attack the rim.  No one likes getting swatted and Capelas size and shot blocking helps outside the stat sheet
• The offense is so stiff and awkward right now.  Multiple times guys look surprised to receive a pass… people are playing scared
• Murray had a bad night offensively but he’s still a + overall because his defense is solid, also active on the boards which helps, particularly since Capela has been bad.
• Okongwu had a very bad +/- but I felt he played well, still fouls too much though.
• We need more plays for Hunter
• Murray/Trae are doing a good job not turning it over, part of that is just Nate’s 2nd grade offense
• Collins with a very active night, good and bad.  4 blocks and a steal but offset by 5 turnovers… looked good shooting
• Aaron Holiday is a decent backup.  He’s too small though and we miss Delon badly
• Justin Holiday is trash
• JJ played much better in the second half, especially on defense.  I don’t care how much he struggles early in the season… we NEED to keep giving him minutes and letting him develop.  Our lack of depth is a big issue, so we have to put our chips down on JJ filling out his talent
