now one thing that is obvious he has no effort to make shots. He went from 16pts per game to basically nothing. That’s the biggest issue for me, it’s not even his mental mindset it’s the fact that he can’t be what he once was which was 16/8/8….if Ben ever returns to 16/8/8 along with elite defense then that team is going have an all star player and it’s not impossible for him to return as that guy.

LOL me too in hoping he’s not the major trade. I’m hoping if Simmons is involved it’s only because he has to be to make some kind of 3 team trade work and our major piece (Ayton) is within that trade too.

If he plays for a lotto team with low expectations and a lackluster fanbase, it's possible he could get somewhat closer to his career numbers.  But on any team with pressure and expectations it just isnt going to happen.  Which means it's pointless b/c we are trying to compete.  No contender wants him on their team b/c they know he will choke in the playoffs.  You literally can't play him in the 4th quarter.

Seriously. If Bogi was considered a negative asset that we would have to include a pick to trade him away this past summer, could you imagine what the Nets would have to give away to get rid of him? And they have no picks, so it would have to be a three team trade to get some picks to go with him.

I was on the phone with my guy watching LeBron break the scoring record. I will cover the NBA stuff later but I am tired so Hawks only for now. 

While PHX is shopping Ayton. They would prefer to move him for Durant. That said, he's being shopped. I've heard Atlanta has been reached several times about Ayton. While there hasn't been interest in return, it seems like something to keep an eye on for Atlanta. I wouldn't bet on it. 

Bogi been getting real calls. His performance tonight might be the last we see of him in a Hawks jersey. PHX has been sending scouts specifically for Capela and Bogi. 

Atlanta been reluctant to trade Capela. Bogi is seriously looking like he will be moved for the first time all offseason. 

JC is not being moved unless Durant is coming to Atlanta. I would go so far to say, JC is off the trade block if the trade doesn't add value. 

Durant is not on the block. 

Atlanta and Toronto talks stalled about Siakam for JC/Holiday and picks. 

Atlanta also talked to Toronto about Gary Trent Jr/filler for JC which also stalled.

Seems like everyone is watching Brooklyn. 

Ayton, J. Grant, Grant Williams, Matisse, Burton, Bogi, Rozier, Plumlee, and FVV are the hot items. Durant is the hottest item. Bogi being the shooter everyone wants right now is actually getting hot enough that Atlanta can get assets for him. Seems like Atlanta wants to feature Griffin more. 

Matisse is a big target for the Hawks. 

Justin Holiday is still a hot item for Atlanta in trade talks. I would he shocked if he's still on the roster after the trade deadline. 

JJ has been in some trade talks. 

Expect the Hawks to look different. How different, idk?

Players to watch for the Hawks: Ayton, Matisse, Grant Williams as a rental, and Patrick Beverley.

More players are available but the price tag is so high, it's making the market look foolish. 

I was told that Atlanta will pay the LT next year. I know that it's what they say till it's time to do it but he said Atlanta is saying they want to win next year and looking at a new staff as well. 

Watch for: FVV, Grant Williams, J. Grant, Ayton, Reddish, Tim Hardaway Jr, Luke Kennard, John Wall, Burton, Monte Morris, Terrance Ross, GTJ, Fultz, J. Isaac,  Mo Bamba, OG Annuoby, and Kevin Durant. It wouldn't shock me if all of these guys are moved. Players agents are getting contract offers for the offseason and man, it's wild. A lot of these guys are expecting to get PAID.

That might be the most beautiful thing i've seen all night the only thing better is a legit trade saying both of them are moved.    Thats easily the main 2 guys i want off the team without a doubt.

That would be my guess. The FO may give off the vibe that they don't care about the loss of those picks to SAS in a few years but getting another first would seriously help us possibly move JC or Capela for an upgrade either now or in the offseason.

Yup. We showcased him. Makes sense he’s a free agent with a player option this summer. Makes sense for both sides he’s not coming back is my guess so parting ways now makes sense. AJ is ready for more burn .

Yeah thats not to shabby then with the 2 1sts coming back although if i was the Nets i demand 3 and no Cam to them.   Mainly because i could see other teams offering a better starter player than Ayton going to the Nets and 2 picks probably still.

We're a sub-500 team and I doubt any trades get made. For several reasons, but mainly because there is a bunch of rookies in the FO.

When healthy Bogi and Gallo gave us a dimension that’s not easy to replicate. Last year they created a reliable bench unit with Delon and Okongwu.  The year before we went 27-11 with them both playing big roles.  
We’re hoping AJ develops into the sixth man, but we need more bench firepower.  Or we just get Siakim.  That works, too.
