Defense is just awful.  Needed a heculean effort by trae on offense to beat the Spurs by 2.  We are going ti lose a lot of games unless we can clean that up.

Oh my God.  The Mitten.  Sublime game from him.  
 

He draws twice as many offensive fouls as he commits, which is major.  

Not even 20 games in I’m growing tired of this pace/ points allowed though.  Barely beat arguably the worst team going.  Miscommunications that allow open threes is a disease on this squad.  Back to good ole .500 tho.

Problem is we can see 5-30 28% from the field the next game..

Trae needs to be more consistent..

The reaction is that we're surprised by what the Spurs were able to do...  Well...

 

 

Should we be?    This is the game they played before tonight vs. The Nuggets.    Vassell, Wimby, and Champagnie Did the exact same thing against the Nuggs that they did against us.   Just about the exact same thing. 

Scarily, us and the Nuggs committed the same number of PFs.

Even more scarily, the Spurs committed 22 PFs in each of the games.

It is a twilight zone...

He did a good job in passing lanes..

He made some good plays down stretch, but he's just not good defensively.  And some of his decisions on the offensive end are game changing, but not in a good way.  His game is just not fun to watch imo.

The way they called that game, they wanted to make sure that . . . (1) the Spurs had every opportunity to cover the spread . . . and (2) they called enough fouls to get that point total over 248.

As of right now the defense is going to be bad with this team especially with Jalen out. The only numbers on defense we should be worrying about right now is if our score is higher than the opponent’s.

 

If I hear ANYBODY tell me that Trae is the problem with the hawks when this guy has ONCE AGAIN carried this team to success, I’m gonna scream. He’s a generational player. This team needs to be serious about building around him.
