The Hawks’ undermanned and unsteady bench unit has been particularly poor this month, especially on the offensive end. Only the benches of the Pelicans, Nets, and Magic have posted a worse February offensive efficiency than Atlanta’s

Five reserves were a collective 4-for-16 shooting the rock with zero assists during Atlanta’s overtime win in Portland, outplayed by Blazers sub Al-Farouq Aminu alone (4-for-9 3FGs and two dimes) on Monday night.

Wow lw3!!! Simply awesome! I didn't recognize Balmer had the LA name in full effect! That's crazy so now I guess they are cool n hip LA new kids on the block!

Payback tine tonight for the earlier defeat in Atlanta. Despite the tough schedule ahead, I hope we can go 20-7 the rest of the way...it's a nice statement going into the playoffs and I kind of already predicted 52 on the season wins prediction thread...:-)

Comon Hawks get this for yours truly's bday...41 still is fun!

Hawks 100

Clipps 99

Teams have likely figured out Bud's passing tendencies and the defensive intensity is reliable as a slot machine.  Couple that with the fact we lost our last gifted passer in Al and we get smashed twice by a Clipper team we've owned in recent memory without their best player and leader.  Not cool.

I was hoping they could finish with a winning mark without Thabo in this stretch.  Wrong.

Aye Budcox, time to stockpile high 1sts.  Do it yesterday.

hrrmm, what's easier:

Trying to find...

3 elite athletes that don't need helping defense to play good defense.
An elite PG pick and roll defender.
A stretch 4 that has a 38% three point shot and the playmaking of Millsap.

Or

Having a mobile, unselfish center.

I'm going with "mobile, unselfish center" for $200, Lurk.

It would make sense but Bud isn't going to do it.

ATL will probably trade for Shelvin Mack. He's getting DNPs in Utah.

Seems like we've gotten it backwards.   Is it better to get guys who are quick to learn the system and then have to teach them how to shoot and score or is it better to get guys who already know how to play basketball and have to teach them the system.    I'd choose the latter but the team is full of the former.
