The national media basically ignored or were negative towards Trae his first few seasons, then the ECF run happened and they begrudgingly had to acknowledge that he was sort of good, maybe, but not really. 
 

Then he struggled in the series against Miami and the narrative reverted back to wondering if he should even be a starter in this league. 
 

Add in the historic media bias against Atlanta teams and players and there you have it. I’m convinced if Trae was drafted by the Knicks he’d be on his third All NBA team at least.

That is why trae Young is the right fit for this organization. He has been treated like that his whole career and the Hawks have been treated like that for forever. That what drives him and to lift a city like this against those odds is a dream for him. That is why I will always be a Trae fan. He gets it and feeds off it.

All the talking heads chose wrong. All because Ja dunks and Trae doesn’t.

Perkins was right when he went off on his rant. “When are we going to start telling the truth about Trae Young?”

They have been trying and trying and trying to prove ANY reason why Trae Young is not special. Meanwhile they roll out the red carpet for Zion, Ja, Lamelo, you name it.

One can’t stop eating, one can’t stop playing with guns, and the other can’t get his team to the Playoffs.

Meanwhile, we have to sit here and defend Trae constantly from BS attacks on his character.

Trae still has maturing to do, but he’s miles ahead of the other guys he gets grouped with.

Just wanted everyone to know I’m growing a goatie like Trae. I’ve always kinda had one off n on and sometimes a light beard but if you wanna be THE GOAT I figured YOU GOTTA START LOOKIN LIKE A GOAT !

Like the Django unchained one it’s gotta swoop upwards. Trae is building a nice one, he’s finally growing in some man hair.

@kg01 let’s both walk into State Farm next year for the first game with a couple bada$$ goaties! How bout it? That is, if you can grow one. I got an Asian friend he’s 45 and his hasn’t come in yet, we are all waiting for it.

The first edition were great.

This year they were generic and ugly.

The one in the link isn't generic, but they tripled down on the ugliness.

I really like the look of the Trae 2s in this colorway. Those shoes are very tight on the ankles tho.

I have two different colorways of the TY1s.

Can't wait to get my TY3s!
