If you watch that play, he was looking for Snell all the way.  Even when he was driving, he was looking for Snell.

Once he got cut off, he patiently waited for Snell to get open, and Snell "does what he does".

 

Actually, don't be surprised if Nate says that was a designed play call, seeing how Huerter and Gallo both rotated to the left side, leaving Snell all by himself on the other side.

In such a close game I just love to see Trae make plays like stripping Powell (since when did strips become blocks?) on a drive and making a tip-follow on a break.  Nate driving home the point of improving his Floor Game and I’m here for that sh!t.
